Tables in Wonderland

Is it worth it?
DH and I for the most part travel together. But if we don't it is usually DD and I that go together and sometimes taking my mama with us.
I am wondering if it would be worth the investment of buying this for us to use?
What is your experience using it?
We are getting FL res APs this year and will be going a lot more than our 4 trips already this year. And all of the trips we have had the DP or the CS DP.Does it equal to about the same amount in savings?
And does anyone know the FL AP holder rate? One thing says 60.00 and another says 75.00
THANKS

If you spend over $375 at restaurants where it's accepted (so table service locations and a few select counter service places - at a few resorts, and I think currently a few places at Animal Kingdom), then you will have broken even.

With our family of four, we broke even on ours on a 4 day trip when we first got the card. Then we had 3 more trips that we were able to use it for, so it's worked very well for us.

Florida resident TiW card is $100 -- so the breakeven point is higher than I wrote -- AP holders can purchase it for $75.

It's a 20% discount.

I'm not sure if the FL resident "seasonal" passes are counted towards the annual pass rate for the TiW card. If you buy a standard or premium AP (no blackout dates), you can buy the card for $75. It was $60 before the name changed to Tables in Wonderland.

As it was stated in the previous post, FL residents who don't have APs can purchase it for $100.

Sorry to butt in, but... Can you use the DDP for your meal, and use TIW for drinks during the same meal?

Yes. I do it all the time. Also I have a seasonal pass and I was allowed to buy it for the discounted price of $75.

I didn't realize it would cover a discount on drinks as well. Is there a link or thread that has a list of places it covers?

here is the info for tables in wonderland.....we used it for three visits and saved quite a bit on meals, at restaurants as well as our counter service at the resort and drinks at other places.

Tiw

I would have liked to have been at the corporate meeting where they decided to change the name from Disney Dining Plan to "Tables in Wonderland"... What a great idea! ......NOT
Anyway thats another story...
We purchased it this year and got our $'s worth with a trip to Calf Grill & Jiko. (we paid $60 this yr as AP holders)

One MAJOR annoyance to me, is the black out dates, and the places that won't accept it (IE Teppan Eddo, Chef defrance, Yak & Yeti) because they are not "Disney owned".
I would prefer to pay a little more for the card and do away with the annoying restrictions. Its like trying to redeem with freq flier miles....

They didn't. There is still the Disney Dining Plan.

They changed the name from Disney Dining Experience to Tables in Wonderland, apparently to avoid the confusion with the Disney Dining Plan.
