Late night arrival -- ME, crib request and other logistical issues

Our plane will not arrive until 11:00pm. We have never flown with our children at night before (I'm hoping they sleep on the plane!) and we want to get them to the hotel and into bed as quickly and smoothly as possible. I'm looking for some advice.

1. Will the Magical Express bring our bags to our room that late at night or will they hold them at Bell Services until morning?

2. Given our late arrival, are we better off getting our own bags and carrying them onto the ME, or will that really delay us getting to the hotel?

3. Will the crib/pack 'n play I requested be in our room when we arrive or will there be a wait for it to arrive? We are staying at the Contemporary Atrium Club -- but I don't think the concierge is on duty that late, so we will go through regular check in. I'm hoping there won't be a big hassle/delay in getting the crib.

Thanks everyone!

Between 10 PM and 5 or 6 AM, Magical Express does not pull luggage. Guests must retrieve their own bags before proceeding to the Welcome Center.

Most likely the pack & play will be in your room, but you could always call the Concierge number that morning before you leave or from the airport, to check.

We did a late checkin (midnight) to the poly CL this summer with our DS3 using DME.

you will need to pick up your luggage at the airport and bring it with you on the bus. you'll need to retrieve it from the bus when you get to the hotel.

If you requested the crib/pack and play though the concierge, you'll likely have it already in the room. I had requested bottles of water in the room and the concierge had two bottles of evian and a plate of desserts for us (we didn't request the desserts) in the room.

Regular checkin that late at night isn't an issue. Your longest wait that night might be for your DME bus. they waited for several more parties before we got on our bus (they loaded one couple going to POR and one going to GF; fortunately for us, Poly was the 1st stop). But it was by no means a full bus. (our driver had turned his mike on for his spiel and turned it off after see only 2 rows of occupied seats)

Good luck traveling with your kids! Our son did well on the plane, slept some and was quiet. He woke up at the airport -- loved the airport train, and the DME buses. Freaked out in the hotel room when he realized he wasn't at home -- fortunately we had accessible goldfish to calm him down and promise of a train ride if he would stay at the hotel and not go home.
