? about tickets when you attend a conference

History--I attended a conference in 2005 and went to DL for the first time. I had signed up to attend again in December and was was going to take 16 yo DS with me. However, I will have to attend a graduation in Phoenix in March. I can't afford to do both, as there will be 6 of us attending the graduation. So I thought instead of going to the conference going to DL early and flying over to Phoenix at the end of the week for the graduation.

Here is my question please : I purchased the Park Hopper tickets for DS and I last week, but have not received them yet. I recall the website saying when they are valid from (a very small long line on the side of the page), when you enter the page to purchase them it just says valid 13 days after first use. I recall from using the tickets in 2005 they were not like WDW at all. My question is, will I be able to use these in March instead or should I try finding a colleague who is attending to see if they would like to purchase them from me?

I have been trying to read up on DL and went to the page others have suggested: the WDW vs DL comparasion. It was helpful, but did not discuss this. TIA

Normally, discounted convention tickets are only good for a short period surrounding the actual convention. The place where you purchased them from should have stated "first use must be on or before _______", and then the rest of the hopper is valid to be used within 13 days from the first date of use.
