Boardwalk Luna Park Pool Closed Jan. 18 -?? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hi Everyone,

We got a letter yesterday from Disney telling us that the Luna Park pool and slide will be closed starting 1/18 until "early February". During that time, we can use StormAlong Bay at Y&BC. That pool was one of the reasons we chose BWV over BCV, but if we're lucky, we'll be able to try both and compare which one we like better!

They said they'll be using shuttles to transport directly from Boardwalk over to Beach Club.

I remember last year SAB was closed in January but it was open within a couple of weeks. I hope that happens to Luna Park this time.

We stayed at BWV 2 years ago at the same time as you are going and we too got the letter before the trip.

It was closed then and they did not have a shuttle as promised...we had to walk over there.

They did open the Luna Pool before the end of our stay so i think it was only closed for a week or so.

But honestly, it was only warm enough one day to even think about swimming...hope you have warmer weather.

Maybe they were thinking the Boat Launches that run between BWV and BC. I always hope the pool will be down so I can try the BC pool.

We got a letter as well stating it would be closed for renovations... We are going in January and weren't planning on swimming anyway. I just hope there are no other major renovations going on around that time...

We'll be there too. I guess if it gets nice enough to swim we might venture over to the BC, but generally stay at the quiet pool. At least BW and BWV have 2 quiet pools. Generally I don't get in the pool during our January trips, but the hot tub comes in handy.
