Leaving for WL on Friday the 13th should I be worried about hurricane Ida?
Just stressing about the hurricane. For those keeping track, do you think it will still be around on Friday the 13th (ugg I hope that date won't be bad luck ;-)

Sounds like central FL is scheduled to get rain mid week, even into Thursday.
Hurricanes are of course unpredictable. But really I would not be worried. Just keep an eye open and prepare in case something does come up. |

I would not be worried. Even if it does stay a hurricane it should not land anywhere near Disney. You might get some extra rain, but that should be aboult all.

I was there in October 2005 for a Hurricane ???? (Can't remember the name), anyway they closed all the parks for a day. They actually opened up MK at 6:00 and kept it open till midnight.
All in all, no big deal. Just a ton of rain in a 24 hour period. You'll be fine. |

We were there with Hurricane Isabelle just off the coast a few years ago and we had one of our best trips. People stayed away and so did the hurricane.

I guess I'm mainly worried that our vacation will be a rain out. I know that much of Disney is indoors, but I've been to Disney when it has rained for several hours each day and it's just not as much fun for us. Some rain is always expected in Florida, I just hope it won't be too wet.

I just looked at the projected path for Ida and if it hits Florida, it says it will be there on Wednesday. So hopefully by Friday it will be gone. I can't believe there is a hurricane now. I'm arriving the day after you, the 14th, it better be long gone by then! I don't want rain the first day I'm there, I looked at the weather they are predicting now for Saturday and it says 85 and sunny, so that's what I'm hoping for!
