Can you peak at my itinerary?

We are leaving the 20th of this month (Yikes!!) and staying until the 27th. There are 6 of us going, staying off property. I know this is probably not an ideal time to be going but that was what we could do. What do you think of my plans? We are trying not to have a rigid schedule but at the same time want to be at parks on the best days. We have a few dinning plans that were made at completely inopportune times but oh well. Live and learn. We will just go with the flow..but can I get some feedback?

Friday~ we arrive at 12pm and are going to Mickey's Christmas Party that night (arriving as close to 4 as we can)
Sat~ Epcot and 1900 Park Faire at 4:50
Sun~ AK and Ohanas at 10 (not a great time I know)
Mon~ Seaworld
Tue~ MK
Wed~ MK
Thur~ Downtown Disney and whatever else we want to go back to
Fri~Leave

We could switch Epcot and AK but honestly I'm not sure which is better. I know AK is only open until 5 on Sat but we are huge AK fans and I'm not sure how much time it will take us to see everything we want to see. Is it better to arrive late or leave early? None of us really have any interest in going to the other park (so little interest I can't even think of what it's called!) so that really gives us some more flexibility. I've also heard a lot of conflicting info on when to to MK~ some say that Mon and Tues are the best days but I've also heard from some of my friends who go down for Thanksgiving on a regular basis that it isn't necessarily true. Any input on that?
Thanks for your help!

Are you huge AK fans for the rides or the animals? After the parade, that park clears out, which makes it much easier to get on the Safari (we literally followed the parade up, walked on, and were told we could ride again if we wanted to) - also the animals are more active as the afternoon wears on because they know they're going to have a change of scenery/opportunity. However, keep in mind that Rafiki's Planet Watch only has the vets working in the morning, which you'd miss if you were at bfast. The animals in the Pangani trail and Maharajah trek are more active at the beginning/end of the day. If you're fans of the rides, I'd think 1/2 a day would be fine to do the attractions w/ some judiciously used FPes.

Better to start at Epcot first thing, I think, if those are the only two days that are flexible, since the lines for some of the top attractions get SO long. You could always spend Thurs. morning at AK, too - Downtown Disney opens relatively late, IMO.

HTH - have fun!!!

Check out www.touringplans.com. It will tell you the best days for each park, and many on the Dis swear by its accuracy. By now your dates are free to view.

Thanks for your input~ as far as AK goes, the animals are probably more important than most of the rides (with a few exceptions). My original plan was to get there for RD so Ohanas has really gotten in my way! lol

Honestly I have not been to Epcot since I was about 10 and I'm not sure how long of a day that is.

I've heard that it's better to do MK as far before Thanksgiving as possible (Monday & Tues were my original plans). Does it really get worse as the week goes on? Should I switch my Monday Seaworld for MK?
Thanks again for your advice!
