Is it possible to time this right (DHS + dinner at "Trails End" + campfire/singalong)
I was wondering if this will "work"--timing wise.
![]() If we spend the day ( A Sunday, if that makes any difference) at DHS, leave the park about 4:30 ish. We'll have our car parked in the parking lot--so we'll drive over to the Fort Wilderness Camp Ground. I've looked at a map of Fort Wilderness. I see that the parking there is towards the front, and I guess we can take a bus to the more back end where the "Trail's End" restaurant is... If we were to get some fried chicken/other food from the "Trail's End To go", is there some type of picnic area right outside that we could eat at? Then, take some type of bus transportation (or if it's less than a 15-20 minute walk, we could maybe walk) over the ampitheater where they have that Chip and Dale's campfire/sing along/movie at 6:30... Is that trying to cram too much into too short a time period, or would it work? Anything in particular we should know before we attempt this? Thank you very much for any insight! |

Great! Thanks so much Robo for breaking it down and answering my questions!
And also for posting those aerial views! The restaurant buffet sounds awesome, but we're on a bit of a budget, and my kids aren't that big of eaters. So doing some take out will likely be more practical for us. Who knows, my kids may be STARVING when we get there, and then we'll try the buffet!
