Which resort for our family?

We will be returning to Disney in the Fall of 2010. Not sure about the month yet. I love Dec in Disney, but the last time we were there in Dec it was too cold for the pools, and we love relaxing by the pools for a break. We will be a family of 5 by then. It will be 2 adults, DD11, DS almost 3, and D? almost 1.
We want to squeeze in another trip before DS turns 3 and we have another ticket to buy.
We enjoy staying deluxe due to the nicer amenities. I am thinking a monorail resort would be beneficial, but I would consider others. I would like to stay at Y&B sometime. We will need a decent amount of space as the baby will be in a pack n play. Anyone have any suggestions and why do you choose that resort for us?

Uh, yea, your gonna want to stay in a resort with a monorail. Poly, GF, and CR all have them. I think your little ones are not really going to appreciate the fancyness of the GF, but they'll still like it. What I mean by that is they really don't know what fancy is yet. The Poly can be a lot of walking, depending on which building you stay in. So I think the CR would be the best. Also in the CR is Chef Mickey's which everyone will like. It's just more convenient.

CR is the best to go in my opinion, for your family.

I agree with the pp. We decided to go the Poly route this year as we spend a good but of time at the resort due to naps. Also, if you want to go a cheaper route, I would stay at CSR. We did that last year with our kids(the exact same ages BTW..lol) and we we very happy with our choice just wanted to throw it out there as deluxes can be pricey during peak season.

first decide which parks you are going to visiting the most.

if MK and Epcot - definitely a monrail hotel or at least WL

if Epcot and Studio - then BC, Yc, Bcv or BW might work well

if AK - then just about anything - but probably AKL/V

that say BLT is the newest. It is a DVC resort - but anyone can rent rooms there.

with your family a 1-bedroom would work.

My concern with the CR is the pool looks like a little left to be desired. I will keep it in mind though, b/c we do like to eat at CM every trip and it is in walking distance to MK! Is the new BLT pool any better? Thanks!

Poly is def in my top 3!
That is funny about our kids' ages . Good to know you survived the bus with the 2 littlest ones though, in case we end up no doing a monorail resort.

I'd go w/ the poly. Couple of reason, largest rooms, so room for a pack & play; monorail to MK & short walk to the TTC for the Epcot direct monorail. I'm assuming that you'll be spending most of your time at MK & the poly is very convienent for afternoon breaks if your little ones need them. Volcano pool also has a nice slide for your older child.

I had forgotten about walking to the TTC! That is definitely a point for poly!
