New York City Entertainment Deals?
The family (d10,son 5) wants to go to New City in the Spring Next Year during Spring Break. So I booked Hampton Inn Time Square South through Priceline for $130 for 3 nights. Does anyone have suggestions on finding website or other information on site seeing and theatre / other family entertainment deals?

BroadwayBox dot com is great for free discount codes for a variety of shows and performances.
That is a really great price for that hotel. Enjoy!!!!!

I used www.nyc.com when DH and I were planning our weekend back in September. We also used www.menupages.com when we didn't know where to eat.

Broadwaybox.com is a great site.
Check out the Top of the Rock rather than the Empire State Bldg. There usually are discounts floating around, too. Both the AM Museum of Natural History and Met Museum of Art are suggested donation only. Both are GREAT! Walk through Central Park (free) Ride the Carousel in Bryant Park and tour the NY Public Library Ride the Staten Island Ferry for Free (great way to see the Statue of Liberty) www.menupages.com will help you locate reasonably priced food (good pizza and Chinese) **Check out the New Victory Theater. Balcony seats are often $10.00 and are just fine. They offer a variety of family shows. Check their website and calendar for details. |

Sony WonderLab...it's free but you must make reservations in advance.
http://www.sonywondertechlab.com/ Toys R Us in Times Square is free to walk around in, although it might cost ya to get OUT of there! LOL Check out the Wii store in Rockefeller Plaza. Get to play new Wii games for free. If you keep your schedule flexible you can check out the TKTS booth for their offerings when you're there. This isn't free or budget but you have to consider dessert at Max Brenner's. See their sweets menu and kid's menu, it's such a fun place for dessert with kiddos. http://www.maxbrenner.com/ |
