I stayed at the Rosen Shingle Creek as well as the Rosen Centre.I preferred Shingle Creek although both are very nice hotels but the whole Shingle Creek property is amazing along with the architecture inside and outside. It's a huge conference hotel but when I stayed there there were very few and the hotel had a creepy empty feeling since it's such a huge hotel.I can't answer your question about concierge access.

Stayed there last month for only one night since we had to extend our vacation for a day. Nice hotel, though it's quite a hike to get anywhere around the property. Finding our room was like going through a maze, but the accommodations were nice and I enjoyed the view of the golf course. The parking situation stinks, but the "shortcut" we discovered helped on the long walk from the lot to the hotel. I do not have any experience with the concierge access, though.

I've coordinated a couple of meetings there with overnight stays-here is my review. Agree with previous posters, it is a convention and golfing hotel; if there is nothing going on it can come across as dark and dreary inside. It is a very "green" hotel, I could never seem to get my room cool enough. But is very clean, with great service.
Concierge level was nice. Large, comfortable room with balcony and a view. I don't recall the breakfast/lunch selections. Evening hours had a nice buffet of hot appetizers, like bacon-wrapped scallops, crisp vegetables and fancy cheeses. Water/soda/coffee was free, beer,wine/cocktails were not. They also have a terrific 24 hour deli/store that is worth checking out. Every hotel should have one of these. Pool was great. Hope this helps. |
