I need cupcakes!!!

Was wondering if there was a cupcake place in the WDW/Orlando area that we can order a different variety of cupcakes. A good bakery will work if the cupcakes stores are not in the area...thanks!

There is a place called The Dessert Lady in Orlando, not sure if they do cupcakes? The regular cakes are great though.

The grocery store in Crossroads shopping center just past Downtown Disney in Lake Buena Vista. I can't remember the name but it's the only grocery store in that shopping center and they have so many great things in their bakery. Very cute cupcakes if you are looking for kids ones.

We were in Disney last month and we celebrated my birthday. My DD is a CM at Disney and she got me a dozen cupcakes from a great cupcake bakery in Orlando. The cupcakes were wonderful and they had a good variety.
Here is the link to their website http://www.sweetbyholly.com/ The cupcakes were also the large size. The Dulce de Leche was to die for and the Red Velvet was awesome. I believe they deliver, but don't quote me on that.

Best cupcake I've ever had is in Disney at Starring rolls next to the brown derby.
They have lots of options and all are as big as your head.

the butterfinger one that i had was chocolate cake filled with chocolate fudge then topped with about 4 inches of vanilla icing and dipped in a chocolate hard shell and coated in crushed butterfingers. They are 3.99 each, or count as a dessert on the counter-service meal, or a snack credit.

If you have the dining plan, go there in the morning and get a bunch of different ones with snack credits. Absolutely amazing things! Really great for special experiences (and like I said...there are several different kinds and all are eye popping to look at).

I've spent 20 years walking past it and heard about it on the Dis this year. We just went a month ago and agreed that it was probably the best CS we have had in Disney for fresh quality. The sandwiches don't come out til 11:30 am (ham or turkey) on soft focaccia bread includes fruit or chips, drink and the monster cupcake (or other desserts they have there that are amazingly fancy).

I asked my DH how much he paid for the dozen and he thinks it was around $35. Like I said these cupcakes were the large size ones and he said it was worth it compared to what Disney was charging for an 8-inch cake.

I wish I never came across this thread. Now I have to run out and get the family some cupcakes from the local grocer who has the best bakery this side east of the mississippi.
