Interesting read....I'm not saying I agree with it, but I do find it over-hyped. But I also can't stand the Apple commercials with PC vs. Mac. They blatantly lie and give out false information. That said, I do like my Mac Book Pro, but I also love my PCs just as much. (Job security)

Interesting. My Blackberry is an excellent phone and a pretty good mobile computer. With that said, I may get an Iphone as a second line just because it seems like a fun device to have.

I'm in a similar boat, I love my blackberry but would access to more apps. Blackberry apps are getting better however.

The thing I love best about the iPhone is the thing that first attracted me to it. I can take my phone and ipod places and only have to carry one thing.

I also love the apps, which I didn't even know about when I got the thing.

Checking email and having portable internet access is just icing on the cake.

Maybe he means the iPhone.....but he wants one.

I'm getting the Droid tomorrow. Not as great as the iPhone but Verizon's network is so much better than AT&Ts.

Not from my experience. I hated Verizon's "Network".

Beware the iHandcuffs

Yes it's a "wall'd garden" but my iPhone has enabled me to consolidate several different devices. Its my:

1: music player
2: video player
3: alarm clock
4: Auto Navigation (GPS)
5: E-mail client
6: internet browser
7: Pedometer
8: digital camera
9: video camera
10: PHONE

and the list could go on. Its not for everyone but I couldn't imagine having anything else.

Nationally, Verizon's network is better in most places. Near Atlanta, it is definitely far superior to AT&T.

I agree with Matt. Verizon is VASTLY superior where I live, and I will be upgrading to a Droid later this month when my contract is up. I especially love the QWERTY keyboard, have never been a big fan of touch-screen phones for texting or email. Love the keyboard.

But I am a TOTAL convert on Macs...don't even own one yet but can't wait to get one when my next desktop inevitably fails. HATE Windows with a passion. Apple has converted me, sight unseen, to a Mac.

If Verizon offered an iPhone I might consider it, but I think the Droid is a very good alternative, and even superior in some ways.
