Penny press collections

My apologies if someone else has addressed this already but I need some help deciding what to do.

I am a little ocd and I love collecting the pressed pennies and quarters. I have lots of the books filled with them from past trips. Well, that gets expensive and I lose track of which ones I have and which ones I need! So, those of you that collect them, do you just start over each trip or do you keep track of the ones you already have and just look for the ones you are missing or the new ones that came out since your last trip?

Thanks for any advice. My next trip is on November 29 so I need to decide soon as to how I am going to proceed! I know this may sound like a dumb question to some, but if you collect these pressed things, you understand my dilemma!

Oh, and now my DH is hooked on this hobby too! We race to see how can get the ones the other doesn't have (we even separate for a while so we can look for them apart from each other) and we don't tell where we get them if it is a very unusual one! I love this hobby!

I too love collecting pressed pennies and trying to remember what I have is impossible, but I have a solution for you...

they list each and every machine at the parks, resorts etc

you can print out a master list to keep with you. I just check off the ones I have and each before each visit, I plan which ones i'm going to look for and mark those in a different color. when the list gets too messy, I just prink out a new one
