that the room doesn't have a window. I know we won't be in the room often since we'll be out exploring the ship and having fun, but will the room feel like a closet? We'll have 2 adults/2 kids in it.
Also we're on deck 7 and it's in the front of the ship and I'm worried about sea sickness, anyone stayed here before? Was there a ton of movement? I'm so excited to cruise but just anxious about these details. ![]() Thanks!

I don't think you will have any problems. We actually prefer inside staterooms because they can get very dark and the price is much less. It leaves extra money for more important things!
The designers did their job making sure inside rooms don't feel like closets. It feels much more like a room with all of the curtains closed than a room with no windows. If you want to feel like you have a window, tune your TV set to the channel showing live views from the bridge. |

We were on deck 7 as well. I wouldn't worry about seasickness too much. We hardly felt any movement. Most of the time I forgot we were even moving. But, I did pack dramamine to be safe.

I wouldn't waste money on a cat 10 (yes, I've stayed in them). I'd book a cat 12 because with 4 people you'll sleep in at least an 11 (cat 12s only hold 3 people, so if they sell you one they know you'll get an 11). The only difference between an 11 and a 10 is the split bathroom. There will be a couple hundred dollar price difference.
As to the inside cabin--no problem at all. You'll have a great cruise. |

no, it will not feel like a closet. It is VERY dark though. Recommend taking a clock that has an illuminated time. It drove us crazy not knowing what time it was and if it was light or dark outside!! (the room has a clock, but you can't read it in the dark) I ended up turning on the tv and turning the volume all of the way down for some light and to see the time on it.
I have to say that I personally love the split bathrooms and felt like I had more room b/c of them. With 2 kids and us getting ready for dinner, it helped! |

I second the lighted clock and also would suggest a nightlight. Just enough to give a little light. That was the only issue we had with an inside stateroom. The clock will tell you if it is daylight or still night and the night light will light the way to the bathroom. I would do it again in a moment if I needed to in order to cruise.

I actually prefer inside rooms because of how dark they are. We sleep in complete darkness at home. I can't stand when we travel and the curtains never fully cover the window and let light in on the sides. We wake up way too early. It's vacation and I want to sleep in!

We were in an 11 and I would have KILLED for the split bath! Didn't really mind not having a window for a 3 night cruise. We were always surprised when we made our way to the deck and saw the sun and blue skies.

If you forget your night light, take a pack of glow sticks. I activated them for the Pirate Party, but also put one by the phone, and one by the bathroom door. They worked great. You can also leave the bathroom light on, and shut the door. Enough light will show under the door. We were in a cat 11 cabin on deck 5 and had no problems.

We have stayed in both interior and exterior rooms. I prefer the interior rooms too... We all sleep so well
(which is when we often wake up at home). Interior rooms are great for a quick nap too

It was one of the best trips ever. We are heading back on December 17th, 2009 with our four children in two cat 12's. We are praying for an upgrade but will be happy if we end up in the cat 12's as we will never be in our cabins. Regarding the sea sickness only problem I had was a balance issue the first afternoon when I was in the cabin taking a shower. I almost fell. That evening in line for dinner I lost my balance again. After that I had no problems. I guess I didn't have my sea legs yet. No worries you will love the floor your on...Enjoy your vacation you are going to love it...
