A Little POP Review

I just got back from 4 nights at POP. The only other value I've stayed at before was ASMo.

If I were to book another trip right now, I think I would go with POP because I liked the location better than the All Stars. POP felt more central to everything and the bus rides were a lot shorter than commuting from ASMo.

I thought the room we had at POP was a little more worn than the one we had at ASMo. The Mousekeeping didn't seem quite as good at POP, but I know that can just depend on the individual CM cleaning the room that day.

We booked a standard room and POP gave us exactly what I had requested. A room on the ground floor in the 50's close to a parking lot. We had room 2144 in building 2 facing the lake. It was very close to where we parked our car so loading and unloading was easy. The room was very close to the Bowling Pin Pool.

When you're coming back from a long day at the parks the walk from the bus stop to the room seemed a little long but I think we were about as far as you can get from the main building, so considering that, it wasn't a bad walk.

We didn't have any noisy neighbors or people running by at all hours of the night, so it was pretty peaceful.

The room was basically the same thing you get at ASMo. The only thing I didn't like too much was the mattress. It wasn't uncomfortable, but the one I slept on at ASMo was more comfortable to me.

I think in the future I will try to book POP for the location. Other than that the differences in the values are too negligible to make a difference to me.

Our family stayed at the POP this past January. We had only stayed at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds previously. We loved it here at the POP. We were in the '80's walkman building and found our room very close to the main building, pools and buses. We truly liked it here and we will book here again for our next vacation.

We didn't have Mousekeeping every day but the days we didn't they dropped off several towels, soaps, cups, etc., in a large bag and left it on the handle of our door. I think we had excellent Mousekeeping for the times we were there.

One of our non-park days we went to tour All Stars, just in case next time we wish to visit if POP was not a available. Although they were very cute icons, and pool themes, we thought it just wasn't us. My DD wanted to stay in Music thus I walked her to the room furthest back and then back to the main hall and asked if she would like to walk that everyday, as you never know where you will be put if you are in a standard room. We both thought it was quite a hike. Whereas we didn't think any room at the POP would be that bad of walk. Again, we might be seeing it through rose colored glasses, no flames please.

My family also appreciated the one bus stop pick up/drop off. We went in Value season and through our experience taking the bus to visit All Stars, the bus from Downtown Disney we were on stopped at all the bus stops for the various All Stars resorts. That is the reason why we went to the POP instead of the campgrounds, as they have many internal bus stops and found it very time consuming.

I am happy you had a great trip.
