on one of my cruises all the food at Topsiders was served by the CM's -- no-one was allowed to serve themselves. This was during a huge stomach flu time. With H1N1 so intense right now - is Topsiders a NO HANDS on???

We served ourselves at Topsider's on the 10/17/09 Western with the exception of juices in the morning.

served ourselves on 10-22 at beach blanket, I think being served by someone else would be hard, because I get a little of everything

I agree. At the same time, I understand the reason why they do it when the flu was high.

We had one cruise on the Magic that they served the beverages by the Mickey kid’s pool at the self-serve free soda and beverage station.

They roped off a small area with the servers behind the rope and you walked up and told them what you wanted.

Again, I’d rather do it myself because I like my coffee just so but I think they did the right thing.

By the second full day all was fine and they discontinued it and went back to self serve.
