All Star Music...during cheer/dance weeks

Going to WDW early Feb 2010. Our week has cheer and dance competitions both weekends. I was wondering if these groups are heavy at All Star Music or mainly in the other Value resorts or do they usually stay off site?

Im booked at Fort Wilderness but considering switching.

I have chaperoned for dance a couple of times. The girls are all over the All Star resorts. There are over 200 teams for HS. You don't want to be there unless you enjoy hearing a relentless barage of cheering and music from your room.

I stayed at all star movies a few years back while the place was packed w/ cheer & dance teams. The only time I knew they were there was walking to the pool or food court. It was not a big deal @ all. We stay at CBR the most & it gets noisy there but never a bother. People r just on vacation & kids are loud. I did read in a wdw guide that u can request quieter rooms at all resort facing the woods i guess. have fun!

We are going for POP WARNER week, which is first w/e in Dec.
My daughter isn't in the group that goes, but she IS a cheerleader.
SHe is hoping she meets them. The loud cheers will not bother her, but it will me. LOL.

I think if you stay clear of the hotels they stay at, you SHOULD be fine.
THIS year, I think it is AS and one MOD....CSR, maybe?
They perform during the DAY, so nights will be crowede.

Ahhh well i think it might be best to stick to Fort Wilderness Cabins. I dont want DH to go off and yell at peppy excited cheerleaders... and our family really likes our sleep

That sounds like a plan.
We are saying at the POP and at first, I was worried, bu the I heard they were NOT staying there.

I love cheerleaders (dd is one) but I hear the cheers 24/7 in my house. LOL.

Pop Warner Cheer/Football Championships usually take place 10 days after Thanksgiving at WDW for a week. Also known as the dreaded "Pop Warner Week" =-> it's not that bad, I've stayed at Ground Zero - All Star Sports and I didn't have any problems but unfortunately that's not everyone's experience.

And then, every weekend from the end of January thru March 15th, there is some level (middle, high school or college) of Cheer and/or Dance competition. And then the national championships hit towards the middle-end of April.

Those aren't too bad as generally the teams clear out at the end of each weekend.. but still, good to keep in mind.

2 years ago we went at the same time (early Feb) and stayed at POR never saw the "girls" except one day at DHS and one night in DTD. They were sweet but excited and therefore kind of loud in that bubbly squeally kind of way (I have a 15 year old so i live with one ) But i heard they take over the values and can be noisey late into the night. So I have decided slower buses are better then crowded buses and Cheerleaders nightly cheering (even if its only for the first and last couple days).
