Hey James I'm also looking for a roommates (3) too. I'm doing the Room & Related Management Internship for Spring 2010 (check in Jan. 14). I was planning to start a thread but you got ahead of me (I start one on facebook though).

Have you start your housing search yet?
I looked into Club Cortile which is $1199 per month ($299.75 per person). It have 4 bedroom and 3 bathroom. Utilities not included. Fully furnished. Is much more affortable compared to the others.
I was thinking about having a site visit of the townhouse on Jan 4 or 5 to see if they look good before deciding move in with my future roommates.

I looked in Coral Cay ($1700 per month- $425 per person): 4 bed and 3 bath. Fiesta Key ($1700 per month- $425 per person): 4 bed and 3 bath.
About me-
Name: Sophia Yam
Age: 20 (turning 21 in Dec)
Sex: female
Ethnic: Chinese

I love my place to be clean (not a neat freak but prefer someone to clean after themselve after they cook and eat since I don't like roaches)

Club Cortile looks like a great option assuming we can find 2 more people to room with. I will be at Disney in December so I can look as well and send you some pictures if this ends up working out.

Doesn't like to discuss the Y2K Picante Sauce thing
I ran away to London (as in England) when I was 17. We lived in Tulsa (as in Oklahoma) at the time

Fiesta Key review:

The "security" gate is frequently broken. In the heavy tourist season, the dumpster has overflowed to the point where the steps leading up to it were covered and it was piled several feet deep around it. Outdoors smells like sewage most of the time. Just before we moved, there was an intense ant invasion that we could NOT stop. Several loud people started moving in over the last few months, including unsavory types who attracted police attention.

I'm hoping the $1700 includes all utilities including cable and internet and some free groceries... Our 4BR.3BA was $1150, electric was running $350 during the peak of summer, around $200 the rest of the time. We had DirecTV and cable internet for another $150.

Also beware of foreclosure. Our landlord there is in foreclosure and has yet to fess up, even though we moved out the end of October and he was STILL trying to get me to renew the lease. Ummmm, no thank you. Can you spell F-R-A-U-D???

Just please be careful. Foreclosures around here are like walking a minefield, although with the new law, there is more protection for tenants.

ETA: we are now in a 4BR.2BA HOUSE, very nice, for $1200/mo. Haven't seen a full month of utilities yet, so that may be a big ouch, but I'm much happier not having to deal with the issues at Fiesta Key.
