Ever since getting a candy apple at a carnival as a kid that felt like I could break my teeth biting into it, I've preferred caramel apples - no extra toppings - just the caramel. Funny how one odd experience can change our preferences.

I love them both, caramel more so that is my vote. However, I love my fillings more. My DMom and I joke that we put our dentist's son through law school.
 It was funny until the dentist said he is now saving for his grandson based off of our work.  He even told me once that he has no idea how perfectly healthy teeth can decay so rapidly in 6 months.

Dislike them both. I eat the caramel/candy off of the apple and then throw it away.

i like caramel apples sliced in a bowl with caramel drizzled over the top. i can't eat them on a stick, and i hate candy apples.

I like candy apples, because my mom used to make them around Halloween when my sister and I were kids. Great memories!
On the other hand, give me some sliced apples and some caramel dip, and I can be pretty happy, too!

I love caramel apples, specifically Happy Apples (or Merb's Bionic Apples, but good LORD, those things are huge!)

I remember eating a certain kind of candy apple when I was a kid. I can't find them anymore. Anyone remember them?
The candy was red, cinnamon flavored, and had the soft texture of caramel.
