A Simple Guide to Making an Autograph Book

Many folks have printed their images as photographs and, for the most part, they have had no problems with them printing out clearly. You just have to make sure that you save the image at its highest resolution (not just the thumbnail or partial resolution). A Sharpie will work just fine on both matte and glossy photos. If you let it dry for 5 seconds before putting it away it will not smear. I highly recommend the retarctable Sharpies, because then you (and the characters) don't have to fool with caps.

Just had to say how great these all are! I was all set on doing 4x6 cards printed as matte photos but these 8x8 are WONDERFUl and it has me rethinking doing a photo book now instead. I love the CP ones - so soft I think the siggie will really POP. Decisions decisions. :lol:

Hi MusicMouse! I would just like to say that I have seen your autograph book in artscow.com and I love it. We are headed to Disney World for Christmas and I am wanting to make autograph books for my 3 daughters and 5 nieces and nephews. I want to be able to personalize each with their favorite disney characters. When I went to create a photobook on artscow.com I struggling to create one. Any suggestions? Do I need to upload your cards on photobucket? Also I have done a bit of research on WDW and I was wondering if you had a list of characters that are a must to put in the book that will be seen. We have scheduled Chef Mickey, Breakfast with Princesses (girls), and Safari Donald (boys). Any suggestions or ideas you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Your best bet is to start by reading Post #1 and to decide whether you want to make an 8x8 (2 characters per page) or 4x6 autograph book (1 character per page). Post #1 gives you step by step instructions on how to make an autograph book and contains dozens of links to the various DISigners that make autograph cards. Post #2 is an updated list of the characters that are currently appearing in the Parks. I have the list broken down by likelihood of being seen in Post #13. If you don't want to do cards for every character, I would suggest that you use cards for the characters that are seen the most often and then add several generic pages at the end of your book for the other characters to sign. Keep in mind that even if your kids are only semi-serious about autograph hunting, you will see (on average) about 65 signing characters in a week-long stay. Since you are doing some character meals, you can also add cards for those to your books as well (or do a separate book for them). If you would like to cut down on the number of books that you have to make, you might want to just make one per family. If you would like some personalized covers, just leave a request for me at the end of this thread. Check my photobucket for the styles that I am currently personalizing and see if there is something there that you like (I even have a Christmas cover).

I like your 8x8 meal cards but i was wondering how do you make the 8x8 autograph book? What size paper do you print it on? Also could I have it printed through one of the companies so I dont use a lot of ink?
