How loud is Beirgarten?

I want to try Biergarten, but when I described it to dd12 she said if it's loud she probably won't like it. So, how loud/noisy is it?

DD12 is the shy & bookish type -- would it be a bad pick for her?

thanks!

I don't feel it was any more noisy then any Disney buffet place full of kids, but the tables are set up for groups of 8 so you will be sitting with others.

That may be more of an issue for her.

We were ther at the end of Sept with our 5 yr old daughter. She is always saying "it's too loud...it's hurting my ears". We sat right up front and it was loud, however she never once complained. I really didn't think it was any louder, than say, Crystal Palace.

Plus, the band doesn't play the whole time. During our dinner, they played maybe 2 , 20 minute sets.

Like a PP stated, it is likely you will be sitting with other people. If you have a large group then that takes care of that problem. As far as the noise, I never have thought it to be very loud.

My family is the same, so I didn't tell them until we were heading into the restaurant. By then, they saw the set up, saw the band playing, and smelled that great food! We were seated with a family from Canada, and after both my DH and the Canadian DH had downed one of those big 'ol steins of beer, we were all chatting and having a super time.

I just began planning for another trip, and both my kids said they wanted to go back.

I didn't feel like it was overly loud at all, but we weren't right down in front either.

:)

Just went in September with four kids age 12-4. No one thought it was excessively noisy but they don't really complain about much either. The music was pleasant to listen to. It didn't seem any different to me than any other place we went.

Good luck!

We are not a family that likes to share a table with people we don't know either but we have handled it well. Some people like to talk and others don't care to. If people talk to us, we talk back. If the other people don't talk to us, we don't talk back. With all the eating and entertainment, there isn't much time to talk to others. Mostly it is an introduction and telling where you are from. DH is very very shy and he was fine there. In fact he couldn't wait to go back and he hates buffets. We did not feel it was loud at all.

a bit OT, but...

Does Beirgarten have other things to drink besides beer? My mother is not a beer drinker, but might like a cocktail.

Thanks!

We are, too, except when we are at Disney World. The magic brings out another side. We don't go to social events or anything but this is my family's favorite restaurant. Really!

Something to note...the band doesn't play constantly. They do a 15-20 minute set at the top of every hour (when we were there) Of course our ADR was for 6:05, so we were seated while the band played. It was hard for the server to take our drink order, but it wasn't unpleasant. My son is very sensitive to loud noise and crowds, yet this is one of his favorite places at WDW. We especially love Christmas time when they do additional songs and tell a German christmas story while the kids come down to the stage and receive a good chocolate coin.

I don't remember seeing cocktails on the menu, but they have a great wine selection & they also have a neat wine bar in their World Showcase gift shop. I enjoy getting the wine flight before/during dinner & a sweet Riesling after dinner.
