Hard Rock Live

Anyone ever go to a show there? Any tips? I'm going to the Lady Gaga concert and it is just General Admission standing room so I was wondering if people stand in line outside before a show starts and where exactly is the entrance? The thing is I've never seen a large crowd of people waiting for a show outside. Also how big is the space inside? I looked for pictures on google but couldn't find anything that would give me a good general idea of the size of the place. If I have to stand all the way in the back of the crowd will I still get a good view? I've walked by the Hard Rock a million times and eaten at the restaurant but I have never paid any attention to the concert venue. In reality I'm just hoping it wont be as bad and as crowded as the Mardi Gras concerts at Universal Studios. If anything at least there will be air conditioning.

I go to concerts at HRL fairly often. I do not have any comments on GA as I always get seats in the upper balcony section near the bar. What I can say its a great venue! The first floor is almost like the Chili Pepper (in Ft. Lauderdale) or pretty close to Mansion in SoBe (I see your from Miami) but with the stage setup a bit higher. So yes you can still get a good view from the back.

Yes, people do line up before the event. The metal detectors are set up on the stairs on the left (IOA side) on the first landing where the potted palms are in the picture.

HTH!

I am going to Lady Gaga, too. I have been to HRL a bunch of times. It is pretty big inside. I don't know if the show I went to was sold out, but I didn't feel the whole venue was a scary mob scene like Mardi Gras. I picked a spot with a great view not right at the front and did not feel like many people were near me at all (I don't like crowds much). Obviously, if you want to be at the front, it will be crowded...

I didn't line up early and had no problem getting a spot I liked. Then again, Lady Gaga is likely more popular. Is the show sold out? I have no idea since I preordered my tickets...

I don't know if its sold out but Ticketmaster has no more tickets available. Maybe they are holding them to release later in the month. It's Lady Gaga so I'm sure they will sell out and they are probably going to try and fit in as many people as the fire department allows. So, theres metal detectors huh? When people line up to go inside the venue are there multiple lines or just one and then they split up into the metal detectors? Is the whole thing just going to be chaos or do they have security controlling the situation? LOL How does the line usually go? Down the stairs blocking the path between IOA and US or is it down the side of the building? OMG I have so many questions. It's just that I would love to be towards the front near the stage and I need to be prepared. I can't believe this but I've become one of those crazy fans. Ha, no but in all seriousness though, thanks so much for the help/info guys.

Yes, there are multiple lines going through several metal detectors.

Pretty controlled, outdoor cafe section blocked off from the line to prevent them from cutting into the line. Its pretty smooth and painless .

Line wraps around the building without much spillage blocking the sidewalk.
