Renting w/ Alamo through Southwest?
Has anyone booked their alamo rental car through Southwest? I just got an offer with my click and save email that will save me about $60 on the same car I already have reserved. Any downside to doing this?
Thanks! Goofygirl |

No, no downside. Be sure to use the code that will get you triple RR credit.

Don't you have to pay ahead of time with Southwest?

I used the link at the bottom of the page that came up from my "click and save" email from Southwest. Usually I book a car and then keep re-booking as it gets cheaper. I want to make sure that I can cancel this reservation if I find something cheaper. The link says "save up to 25% and receive triple credit"
Anyone done this before or know if I can cancel it if I get a better price? Thanks! |

I'd post the code itself, but it doesn't work unless you meet all the other conditions, so I'm just linking the explanatory page. At this writing it is valid through the end of 2009, but they will probably extend it as usual. There is a $2 fee for using the code, but I don't have a problem with paying $2 to gain 1.5 RR credits. It's a normal reservation; you can cancel it at any time before your pickup time. |

Thanks NotUrsula- that was what I was wondering.
The link I used says- Save Up to 25% and Earn Triple Rapid Rewards® Credit on any rental of two days or more through January 31, 2010. Get 1.5 Credits instead of the normal .5 Credit. Offer valid on any rental of two days or more through January 31, 2010. I didn't enter a code although if you click on the "enter discount codes" it already entered a corporate code. HTH! Goofygirl Actually I just looked again and when you click on the offer it does have a promotion code above where you enter the airport, date etc Last edited by Goofygirl17; 11-03-2009 at 04:49 PM.
