Can you buy MVMCP tickets the night of party (at the gate)? - The DIS Discussion Forums

For an upcoming trip I am helping someone with, they travel in on the day of the only MVMCP they could attend. In case flights get screwed up, I think it would be best for them to buy the tickets there, when they're sure they can definitely go.

Is that possible? Of course, assuming availability. It's 12-11.

We are not buying our party tickets until a couple days before. I want to check the weather before I committ to spending an extra $200.00. If they are sold out, then so be it. Plus there are 4 parties the week we are there . I'm sure all 4 won't sell out.

The only problem with Dec 11 is that it is one of the parties that they aren't offering a discounted ticket too, meaning they think it is one that will sell out. Friday nights are usually busier.

anyone have any idea of sell out dates from last year? As OP, i don't plan on buying mine in advance IF we decide to go. We also have only the 11th as the possible date to go to work into our schedule.

Also as someone stated, we have bad luck with rain. Both the MNSSHP and P&P were washed out nights for us, so either i will jinx it again, so i will wait til we arrive and make sure we get there on time.

I have an add on question to this if you don't mind. Can you buy your tickets a couple days in advance and get the discount as long as the party is not sold out? I'd like to wait until we get there to order the tickets, but didn't know if we could get the discount if we ordered them when we get there. What would be the easiest way to do that (laptop, phone, etc.)? Do you pick them up at your resort or will call or something like that? I've been trying to get a good answer to this question, but I just haven't seen a good response that tells me if I can and how to do it.

1- Yes. (If that particular party offers discounted tickets.)

2- You can do that.
Or, if you are already at WDW, just walk up to any ticket booth or Guest Relations and buy the tix.

3- Yes. Any of those.

You can as long as they are not sold-out.
Side note: I went for 8 days in 2007 and every MVMCP was sold-out. (7th - 14th)

Not on the actual date of the party you wish to attend.

If you are at WDW before the date of the party you wish to attend,
you can buy the tickets at a discount on any of the day's prior to the date of
the party party you wish to attend.
