WOOHOO!!! Got 8030 for LA to Vancouver REPO!!!

We just saw the prices for the LA to Vancouver Repo cruise last night. Called my parents to see if they wanted to come cruise with us up to Vancouver and they said yes. Called to book hopefully a CAT 3 this morning and they said that the Walt room just became available and if we would like it.

I couldn't believe our luck! Now, we have to wait almost a year and a half before we set sail. It'll be me, DH, my parents, DD (5 1/2), and DS (2 1/2)

I love Vancouver - it's such a beautiful city. I used to visit my beloved Grandmother there a few times a year until she passed away almost two years ago. Now, we'll be able to go visit her again.

Looking forward to connecting with all my fellow cruisers!

Phyllis

Awesome!! That's a great snag! We sailed in the Roy suite on a 7 night cruise last December with our 5 & 2 yr olds. The parents were also on the ship but had their own room, though they sure visited alot. We loved it and you will too!

Thanks! Since you were in the Roy Suite - what do we get to look forward to? Palo room service? What about high tea and brunch? We were hoping that they would do that too since we're not ones to utilize the nursery and don't want to leave the kids out. Now, to temper my excitement for the next year and a half.

If it's not too personal, I would love to know how much they are charging for the suite.

Thanks! We definitely got a huge sprinkling of pixie dust today! Trimix - not at all - For 4 adults and 2 kids, it came out to be almost $10k and Costco is giving us back a $860 cash card back after the trip. My sister may join us as well and she'll be an additional $600 I think.

There was only a $300 difference b/w the Cat 2 and Cat 1 so I splurged for it. We haven't had time to go on vacation in a few years. Were going to go on the Mexico cruise last year, but we all got sick so we had to cancel. Plus, my parents have never had time to go on vacation with us, so it's gonna be a great week for the kids to play with them.

It's interesting that there was only $300 difference between the cost of the 1 vs 2 this far out. That's the same exact difference when you upgrade at the port (at least for a 7 day cruise in Dec 2008). We started to upgrade to the 2, then realized the 1 was *only* $300 more!

Thanks Poohfriend! It was a lucky combo of timing and pixie dust for sure! Now I can't wait to go. Maybe we'll have to squeeze in a Mexico cruise before the Vancouver cruise!
