Question about Mickey's Halloween Party for next year

We are thinking about going next Oct and we only want to go to the parks a few days and then possibly go on a cruise. My mom currently has an Annual Pass and is debating about renewing it (has to do it in the next few weeks). We probably will only go to the parks a few days and so we are trying to figure out if it is worth it. Do you need park admission to go to the party or can you just use your party ticket?

I can't honestly remember because we always were IN the magic kingdom the days of the parties both times we went in the past.

We were actually thinking of going to epcot during the day and to the halloween party that night and didn't want to buy hoppers.

Any info and help would be much appreciated. TIA!

You can enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4:00 with your Party ticket.

yes, your party ticket is your admission, though not until 4:00. You can go to Epcot during the day on your regular MYW ticket, the party at night, and do not need parkhopping.
