Are we going to have time for breakfast?
We are flying to Pop this December through Airtran. We realized before booking with them that they are notorious for changing flight times. Since booking, our return flight time has changed several times and we are now departing at 9:50 a.m. Since ME usually allows 3 hours and we need to be checked in with RAC before the 3 hours we are now wondering if we are going to have time for breakfast at Pop before we have to leave. Has anyone experienced early departure times and the need to feed the family?
Any advice appreciated.TIA |

I'm not sure about the breakfast time, but I thought I'd share a tip about Airtran with you in case you don't know. When Airtran changes your flight time, they will work with you to switch you to a different flight at no extra charge. This happened to us. They keep changing our flight times and it was going to have us flying out too late and leaving from Disney earlier than we wanted. I was able to get both flights changed and even changed the airport we are flying out of at no extra charge. It actually ended up working out much better for us!

Thanks for the info. It won't work for us though. We are flying out of Knoxville, TN, and they only offer 1 flight every other day. The times appear to be the same no matter what day you fly out of. There are no other airports close enough to consider changing airports. I just wonder when they have only 1 flight every other day why do they keep changing the time.
We would be fine if the food court opened at 5:00 a.m., but from what I have read it does not open until 6. Of course, I must admit I am not too thrilled about having to wake up and leave Disney so early in the morning; it's hard enough to leave at a decent hour. Thanks! |

Stop by the Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom & use up some snack credits (if you are on the dining plan) on the day before you leave for some of their giant muffins & cinnamon rolls, then just have them in your room ready to eat the next morning.
At least this way you won't have to send someone down to the food court to get everyone something! We snagged 1/2 dozen of these puppies on our way out (got them to-go in a sealed container) for the road trip home. Wish I had gotten a full dozen with our credits! |

Personally I would just eat breakfast once you reached the airport. You will have plenty of time, and by that point everyone will be really awake to actually eat. Granted, you will not be able to use dining credits, but the timing will work better this way.

The food court doesn't open until 6ish, and even then it's limited as to what you can get. The grills don't open until 7, but you should be able to get pastries, and coffee.
RAC will be fine, since that opens at 5. Head there by 5:30-5:45, get your bags checked in. Then head over to the food court and see what they have to offer that's quick. You will most likely get a pick up time of around 6:30-6:45. Be at the bus stop about 15 mins before that stated time...carryon bags in hand, all ready to go. If you want something more substantial for breakfast, get it at the airport. At least you'll be there and won't have to worry about being ontime. |

Thanks everyone. It definitely sounds like we will not be having a CS breakfast. I do like the idea of having some muffins to hold us over and then get something more substantial at the airport. Now, we have 1 extra CS meal to fit in during our stay. That will be nice.
I just hate the thought of having to get up so early while on vacation. Thanks again! |
