ggrrr...fantasmic 3 days in a row?

so i tried to plan our park days at the end of april/beginning of may, made adrs last friday, etc...of course the may calendar wasn't released yet so i had to take my best guess.

we are in the parks for 4 days...and 3 of those days are fantasmic days at dhs! april 30, may 1st, and may 2nd are all fantasmic days! i was really trying to avoid dhs on those days, but the only day that it isn't showing is our first day, and i can't imagine not starting our trip (with my almost 3 year old) at mk!

i guess my only hope for visitng on the 2nd and hopefully less people is that they day before is emh and fantasmic...and the day after is emh. so hopefully more people will want to go on those days.

i realize it isn't the end of the world, i was just trying to come up with the best crowd avoiding plans....

The more days in a week that they present F!, the lower the crowding at DHS will be on any individual day.

Thank you Robo !! My point exactly. I started a thread abouty how they are now offering Fantasmic every day from Dec 10-18th & everyone was so upset because it ruined their plans?? I tried to explain exactly what you stated above since I have been in December the last 7 years when Fantasmic was always shown nightly & this was a GOOD thing because it controlled the crowds & made EVERY night at DHS a GREAT night, but I was
totally flamed. I guess I did not word it as good as you did, but I completely agree with you.

Makes sense... I was initially upset when Fantasmic! was added to my night at DHS because it was so ingrained in my brain that Fantasmic nights = insane crowds. However, I wasn't on DIS or even thinking about WDW when Fantasmic was offered more frequently. Give people time to wrap their heads around this new reality! Now I am just keeping my DHS day as is, not messing with ressies, and planning to (most likely) skip Fantasmic, notwithstanding WDW's decision to add it.

Thank you !!!

This really is a good thing, especially if you want to head to DHS more than 1 day during your vacation (which we always like to do because it is one of our favorite parks during December). You don't have to worry about swarms of crowds because Fantasmic is being shown on select nights only. When it is shown EVERY night in December, it makes the crowd levels at DHS almost non-existent.

I'm also glad it's on more nights. We love Fantasmic and it's so much easier to plan for it when it's more than just one day a week. Remember the good 'ol days last year when it was every night. I sure wish they would go back to that.

Given any thought to seeing F!? If you haven't before, it's well worth the wait/trouble. It may not work with your little one for your upcoming trip, but I hope you'll have a chance to see it some time. It's the greatest!

I agree with everyone. The more Fantasmic! shows, the better for everyone!

I agree, I sent an email to Disneyworld's website thanking them for reverting back to the way it has been for last 7 years that I have been visiting the world, showing Fantasmic nightly.

Can you imagine if they only showed Wishes or Illuminations on select nights? It would be just as bad as when they started showing Fantasmic on select nights, just did NOT make sense.

I'm glad they did! When we were there is September it was only offered one night the entire week and they wasn't a chance of getting in to see it unless you were there 2 hours prior.

I'm hoping they will keep it this way for our next September trip.
