Sadly I had to vote other. Due to some neighborhood vandalism of lights, including ours, about 3 years ago we stopped putting up outdoor lights.

We put them up a week or so before Thanksgiving, but we don't turn the lights ON until the day after Thanksgiving

I usually do both indoor and outdoor decorating the night before Thanksgiving. At minimum, that's when the tree goes up. Not sure what's going to happen this year because my family might be spending Christmas at my parents' new condo in Windermere, FL.

I voted Other because it depends on the weather. We put our up on the warmest day we can find closest to Thanksgiving. Sometimes that is in Nov, sometimes (but not usually) in Dec. They don't get turned on until after Thanksgiving though.

Dh is having laproscopic knee surgery, so we will get them up earlier and just not turn them on. He thinks he can do it after a week but I don't going up and down a ladder will be in his best interest!!!

We always start (it takes up a few days!) the day after Thanksgiving but this year I am going to start soon. I don't want to be freezing my butt off outside! I will not turn them on though until the day after Thanksgiving though and I will not decorate the inside until the day after Thanksgiving.
