Ohana character breakfast?

OK, so there I was, thinking that my kids were not into Lilo & Stitch, when lo and behold, my son is watching that movie right now and said he LOVES it!!! (Which means that when his little brother wakes up from his nap he will want to watch it too! ). Now, there is a good chance we will end up going to the Ohana character breakfast. A few questions.....

1. I read the menu on the All Ears site. I noticed that there are no pancake, waffle or french toast items mentioned. Do they not serve these at this breakfast? No Mickey waffles?

2. Who is there with Lilo & Stitch? Is it still Mickey & Pluto?

3. How is the service?

4. How is the character interaction?

5. How is the food?

6. Is this a breakfast you think we could do on a morning when we are trying to make it to MK for 9AM rope drop, or should we do it on a non-park morning instead?

Thanks in advance!

We did this last year on a non-park day and went later in the morning. I think that this might have been a mistake as we might have been one of the last breakfast seatings.

I believe that we had mickey waffles.

I don't believe that the service was very good at all.

We were seated way in a back corner though and had a very large party to our right. We were only a party of three, so I think we often got over looked.

The character interaction was okay except for the children from the table next to us continually getting into the pictures that we were trying to take.

I will not be doing this breakfast again!!!

We enjoyed CP much better!! This year we are doing CP, Tusker House and Princess Storybook!!

We have went there in 2009 and 2007!!!!

The service was ok. My DH found ther server to rush us the first time and the 2nd time the server was rude! The 1 st time we were paying out of pocket as a side note!

They do have Mickey waffles!

The food is served family style meaning in a large bowl. When the server came back we asked for more as there was 5 of us the 1st time and 6 the 2nd! My DH thought they should has brought it without asking. Considering the "kids" were 20,20,15 and 10 plus us parents!

The character interaction was great!!!!!! The 2nd visit was excellent! Stitch was true to character! My DS loves him! Mickey and Pluto were there as well!!! Lilo liked my DH and insisted she have her pic. taken with him! It really made us laugh, we still do!

We had the family pic. taken before the meal and I purchased it both times! It turned out great and I can see how the "kids" grew!

You can use the mon-rail for travel to the MK!!!! That comes in handy! I am not sure how the rope drop would work for time.

We plan on going again in April for DS b-day breakfast!

Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for the info! We'll probably end up doing this breakfast on an non-park day, and just stop by Captain Cook's at the Poly on our way to MK for Tonga Toast! I know we will have plenty of time to make rope drop if we do it that way, plus we will probably have an extra CS credit to use and I can't think of a better CS breakfast than tonga toast! Thanks again!

we have done this a couple times in the past. We didnt stay long enough to see Lilo and Stitch, just MIckey and Pluto.. we didnt rush or anything they just never got to our side.. now i know to tell the server so they can bring us over for a quick pic. The food is good but limited since they bring it to you, but that is nice sometimes to not have to get up and down all the time. I've skipped it the last couple visits but we're adding it back on this next trip since we wanted a late breakfast, w/o all the extra germs of a buffet that's been going for hours. Hope we'll see Lilo and Stitch!

We did this a few years ago and it is my favorite character breakfast. I think I liked that it wasn't a buffet and the food was served family style. You don't have to worry about missing the characters while you are getting your food. Lilo was so cute! My girls weren't huge Stitch fans, but they enjoyed it. And like someone else posted, you can just hop on he monorail and be in MK! Enjoy!

We were there this March on our last morning before going home. We had reservations for 8:30 and were in the park around 9:45.

Mickey waffles - they brought some just for my son

Mickey, Pluto, Lilo & Stitch

Our service was excellent. Juice was kept filled (I LOVED the juice - even filled my mug & took to the park

Character interaction was the best of any of our meals. Pluto spent at least 10 minutes at our table with my DS2 scratching his head & ears (he was rolling over & kicking his leg - my son laughed so hard he got the hiccups!)

Food was very good - brought in skillets family style & they kept refills coming.

My DD16 requested this meal again next year for our trip, and Stitch is my favorite character so I was more than happy to do that.

Traveling w/ my nephew who loves Stitch, we got plenty of interaction time w/ him. he loved it! Mickey and Pluto were their too and Lilo of course. Pluto was great, he even came and sat on my lap.

Mickey waffles were served and they are yummy...especially with that 'to die for' pog juice!!! Our server was very funny and we were pleased w/ her.

We loved Ohana

WE just ate there on Monday morning. It was the second worst dining experience of our trip after Garden Grill.

1. They had Mickey Waffles

2. Mickey and Pluto were there with Lilo and Stitch

3. In a word TERRIBLE. Characters took a long time. Waitress was just awful. It left a bad taste in our mouth (literally) on our final day of a really great trip.

4. Fine. It is like anywhere else really.

5. Fine. Standard breakfast fair. No more. No less.

6. NO! They take forever. Slow. From seating you. From getting your drinks. From getting you food. From the characters. It took forever. Longest experience of our trip. I think it was well over an hour and a half.

It was one of our favorites on our recent Oct trip.....I thought the characters took their time with everyone and the food was good...our server was good too.

I say give it a chance and I think you will be happy you did.

we just did this at the end of october and I was SOOO dissapointed... the food was decent and yes there were waffles, but stitch and lilo never came to our table until well after we were done eating and they spent less than 20 seconds a piece with us and seamed almost annoyed that we wanted them to sign autograph books. pluto and mickey spent about 40 seconds at our table a piece and that was it! it was so dissapointing and myd aughter didn't understand why stitch didn't like her and say hi like mickey and minnie did at chef mickeys i would go to chef mickeys 100xs over before i'd do ohana again for 70$ it was terrible

My DH and I (no kiddos) ate there in September and LOVED it!!! There were definitely Mickey waffles served! The service was great as well. Out waitress was wonderful. She kept a check on us and made sure that we didn't need anything. It was actually some of the best service we received during our entire trip. The character interaction was a lot of fun, too. Each character stopped by our table and gave us plenty of chances for photos. The food is absolutely delish!! We love the kind of food they serve, so it was right up our alley. And that juice that they have-don't know the name of it, but gosh was it good.
The DH and I liked it so much, that it's a must do from now on...can't wait to go back!
