Bike Question: What is it called? - The DIS Discussion Forums

My mom wants to get dd what she keeps referring to as a "banana bike." She says they rented one while camping-it was low to the ground and had no handle bars. You steered it by leaning in the direction you wanted to go. When I do searched for banana bikes I keep coming up with bikes with banana seats. Anyone have any ideas?

I wonder if she means a recumbent bike (I think that is what they are called).

I have to agree that a Banana bike would be more like one that has a Banana seat--with the sissy bar too
