About the Atlantis ride at Sea World...

I was wondering how wet you get on the Atlantis ride at Sea World. It looks like it may be somewhere between Splash Mountain and Kali River Rapids. Is there anything else to this ride besides a little drop and a big drop? If not we might just skip it. We will be going in two weeks, so it may still be warm. What have your experiences been?

If you are unlucky - people watching the ride will get you really wet with the water cannons you pay 25cents for - now that is fun

After the big drop the boat will make the U Turn towards the next hill before it gets to that lift hill the boat will do a little drop of no more than 5 feet or so ,if you're in the front seats watch out as there will be a wall of water just rush into the front of the boat that will soak the feet and legs of those up front.

It's actually much like a roller coaster inside, then there's the drop you can see on the outside.

If you sit in the back row you really shouldn't get all that wet. That is where we sat and it wasn't bad at all.

Thanks for the info. I better go check and see if my youngest can ride it.

Yep. We're good

We were toward the front and were soaked from the waist down.

Wait until an hour before closing and you'll be able to ride it nonstop. The kids and I road it about 15 times without getting off last April. My kids were soaked but I sat behind them and didn't get very wet!

I need to remind myself often to: "Enjoy life. To remember that life is not Disney World and you certainly don't want a fastpass. Make the most of everyday and enjoy the ride!"
