Talking Is it just me??

Is it just me....or is anyone else feeling the need/desire to start Christmas decorating now that Halloween is over. First thing this morning, I put all my Halloween and Fall decorations away, rearranged the furniture in anticipation for the tree
If my decorations were easy to get to, they would be out!! DH is at the fire station for the night and I cannot climb up in the storage space solo to fish them out (he'd be so thankful.... he does not get nearly as excited as I do)
As for shopping, I am already half done!! Disney gift cards are one of the items, along with clothes for DD (She looks good in everything so I cannot resist buying lots of cute clothes for her) 2 weeks ago I went to the US and Kohls had awesome stuff!! I loaded up and the bonus was the guards at the border let me through with NO DUTY!!! Yipee!!!!
Anyhow, I would love to hear about others decorating and shopping ideas/progress.....
Let the festivities and merriment begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I want to rake all of the leaves first, and our backyard tree just started changing colors, so... still a few weeks for me.

I always decorate the SECOND I get home from Thanksgiving dinner! I really can't wait to get started this year!

absolutely not!! I hate to rush the season, and am still enjoying the harvest/fall/Halloween time. Yesterday I saw my first Christmas commercial and I feel like it is so rushed. I love the fall and am always sad to see it go.

I will start to look forward to Thanksgiving in a week or two, then slowly ease into Christmas.

I have a friend like you though who has been chomping at the bit to get her Christmas decorating done! I must say I do look forward to the Chrismas movies like, Santa Clause and Polar Express, but not for at least another month!

I'M READY TOO. But I think it's becaues I'm finally back home near family after 11 years, have a new house, hosting Cmas dinner at my house this year AND my brother and his family are being sent to the East coast so they will be here for Cmas. We never been able to spend Cmas together with all the kids so I'm just excited!!!!!!!!

But, I put out some Thxgiving stuff this AM, but I think I will start Cmas decorating the week before Thx since we aren't doing that here. And, I got talked into Black Friday shopping with a friend. WHAT was I thinking??? I'm just along for the fun because I'm pretty much done shopping!

OP I am with you. I love the holidays and I adore all the decorations around the house. If it wouldn't drive my DH up the wall I would decorate today! Still I slowly bring things out, so that by Thanksgiving the house is totally decorated!

Oh my god, so funny you started this thread! Music Choice "Sounds of the Seasons" started Christmas music this morning! I've lit my Yankee Candle "Holly and Red Currant" and have been bopping about my apt. dusting and cleaning all day!!! (Christmas music makes it easier to clean for some reason!)

I have to fight the urge to bring up the decorations from the basement...but I usually can't resist by about 1/2 way through November.

As someone who's been playing Christmas music since September...I am so ready!! It's my favorite time of year! As soon as I get home from my birthday trip, the decorations will be coming out in full force.

I've purchased some new ornaments, but have not done any Christmas shopping yet. I usually wait until after Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to it, though.

No...I am taking Halloween down today and putting up Thanksgiving. Christmas starts the day after Thanksgiving in my house.

I think the difference here is that we have already had Thanksgiving. So, Christmas is our next holiday.
Makes it seem that much more of something to do now.
