Not so Happy, Happy Limo experience

I thought I would share my happy Limo experience. I had Happy Limo quote a navigator limo for my family of 7 from MCO to Part Canaveral last Friday afternoon. I had them quote the limo with a grocery stop and 2 car seats for my 1 and 3 year old. The quote included a $10 charge specifially for the two car seats. When I went online and booked the reservation I specifically again put in the notes I needed two car seats in addition to referencing the original quote. Additionally I followed up by email the day before to verify we were all set and again wanted to verify that the car seats would be coming. I received an email back confirming.

When we got to the baggage claim area, our driver was there waiting, but he had no car seats. He called the office and told us it was up to us but if we wanted the car seats it would be an hour or more wait. If we wanted to wait we could it was up to us, but Florida law did not require them to have them. I have a hard time believing that.

After a full day of traveling and tired kids we went without the car seats, but I will never use Happy Limo again. I feel when I comfirm multiple times they should be there. This is unacceptable.

I'd get your money back at least for the seats and email them a copy of the law as it DOES require them. The CPST in me is LIVID... and def not using them now.

We had a yucky experience with (UN)happy Limo too. Filthy car (allegedly a luxury SUV) with broken DVD player and ripped seats. Surly driver couldn't help with luggage because of her "bad back." Will never use them again.

Wow, that stinks! Who needs that when you did all you can do? I hope you got some of your money back.
Thanks for your story. We're looking for a car service for 8 people for next August and I'll certainly remember this.

We used Sunshine or was it SunRise Car service and were very happy with them. I had spaced on a car seat for my little one...yep not good...but they swung by the office after they picked us up and grabbed one...added about 10 minutes to the ride or so. They did grocery stop and were very good all around. Don't know if they are still around. I assume so.

The quality of service from some companies seems to vary...several years ago Happy Limo was excellent and you'd never read a negative report here. That's the beauty of the boards...we can keep up with things.

Sorry for your bad experiences, but thanks for sharing them.

Yikes!!!!

My brother and I with our families (8 of us) have booked Happy Limo to take us from MCO to the port this week!! I wish I'd had known this before we booked. The Passporter book recommended them, so we went with that....

I'll post when we get back either good or bad......hopefully good but I'm having some doubts now!

Hey,

We had a terrible experience as well! Ours was from MCO to Animal Kingdom Lodge. We reserved a stretched limo from them and when we arrived, there was no driver there. I called the company and they contacted the driver and it turns out that he took another party that just walked up to him with my same last name. So, they say it will be an hour before another vehicle picks us up! Let's just say it was the first and last time I will ever use them!

I was planning on booking Happy Limo for transportation from WDW to Port Canaveral. Now I am having second thoughts.
Does anyone know of another company that may be better?
OR
Does anyone have a good experince with Happy Limo or should I forget about using them completely?

We booked with them over Spring Break/09 (with 2 carseats) and had a terrific-go the extra mile to please- experience. Based on that, we booked again for our cruise this Thursday from the Hyatt. Gillhoolie - we'll be scrambling with you if this heads south. I too will post to let people know how things go. Wish us luck!!!!!

I have used several companies over the years the the best IMO is *********** - I've used them at least a dozen times and they are always about 5 minutes early, very courteous, brand new clean cars, etc.-- LOVE them!
