Nervous about POFQ, HELP!!

We have stayed at WL our first trip, and CBR for the last three trips. The girls and I love CBR. We usually stay in a Preferred room and love being close to Old Port Royale and the pool. The gift shop is nice too, but I do most of my shopping at DTD or in the parks, so that isn't an issue. My kids have enjoyed the new pool at CBR. But DH wanted to try something new. So we chose POFQ, and we leave in 31 days. Since we booked we have heard about Pop Warner now being at POR, which when we booked they were going to be at CSR. We've been to WDW previously when PW kids were there, but we were at CBR and they were at POR, POFQ and Values. I am so not looking forward to this. I don't want my trip ruined by loud cheerleaders on buses or at my pool (which are shared with POR). My own daughter is a Middle School Cheerleader and spending my vacation with the group of them is not what I'm looking forward to. So, please put me at ease, I'm so worried that I'm truelly going to have a rotten vacation.

I feel for you. We were originally booked at CBR in April but due to all the cheerleaders being there I switched to AKV.

POR has several pools on it's own - Ole Man Island and other quiet pools. POFQ's pool is a 10 minute walk away from POR. You will more than likely share buses, but other than that it might not be too bad. I read the other day that the majority of the PW participants are at the AS resorts.

Hang in there. When you get checkin, ask the cast member if they know what/where/when PW will be doing and arrange your parks, etc, around their schedule. POFQ is a great resort, by the way!

Yikes we will be at POR in December. When will Pop Warner be there?

I would think you should be fine at FQ. You will have your own food court. Not sure if it will be warm enough to swim You will love the boat to DTD.

We stayed at All Star Sports in 2007 when Pop Warner was there. When I heard about PW, I was mortified! I was sure we were going to have a rotten vacation! Guess what? We had an awesome vacation! They had no impact on us at all! We did not use the food court for breakfast though, so we may have lucked out there. We only swam once or twice, used the food court for dinner twice, other than that we were just there to sleep. There was no cheering early in the am, or late at night. I can't remember where our room was located, I could walk you there but don't remember the building / room # though. Maybe it was just our location? We also rented a car that trip so I have no feedback on buses. Not sure, but don't sweat it, I'm sure you'll have a great vacation. By the way, we got back in Sept from POFQ, we LOVED LOVED LOVED it! Don't know if we will stay anywhere else. The boat to DTD was such a nice change of pace! Relax, enjoy!

If they are staying at POR then you shouldn't have a problem. POR has their own pool, even though you can share amenities between POFQ and POR. They only thing may be the buses being crowded but if memory serves me right the buses go to POFQ first. This hotel is really wonderful and quaint. My favorite moderate for sure. Enjoy your trip

I think you will be pleasantly surprised with POFQ! I personally prefer POFQ and POR over CBR. The resort is smaller and much easier to get around in. The decorations and beauty are just magical. AND the beignets are pretty good too!

As far as having to put up with the PW kids..if I remember correctly the bus picks up at FQ first then picks up at POR. So you may have to endure the kids a bit. Seems like upon return though that FQ lets off first, but I could be wrong.

Aside from the cheerleaders there are a few other things to consider:

POFQ is a noticably smaller resort than any of the other mods. The pool area is also much smaller than the one at CB.

All that said, I do like to stay at POFQ when I am looking for a bit more intimate hotel. I like that I don't have to walk that far to the main area even when I am at the furthest building. I also love the theming.

If you really like the larger hotel experience then I would recommend CSR. All the rooms were just recently refurbished.

Thanks for the advice but as of now, there are no rooms available at any of the Mods or Values. Only SSR and we can't afford that, so I guess we'll make the best of it.
