Liberty Tree Tavern Vs. Garden Grill?

We eat at Garden Grill every trip - LOVE it!
Have yet to try LTT and really want to, am pretty sure I'd love it!

But, are they pretty similar? GG I love everything except for the fish. LTT looks like I'd like everything except for the pork.
Looking at the food pics... really they seem to be such similar meals.

Is booking both of these really like booking the same meal twice... or isn't it?

Just booked LTT and not sure if keeping it or not - have GG the night prior. GG is a must for the characters for the kids.

We always do a LOT of dining each trip (like 18 table service) - and have the toughest time narrowing down our choices. Part of me is afraid to try LTT for fear it will become a new favorite and then is yet ANOTHER restaurant to try to squeeze into the schedule each trip

Not sure if the kids would care for LTT that much - do they offer fries or chicken nuggets for picky eaters? But I know for sure myself, oh, yeah, could do turkey and stuffing twice during a trip.

It's been a few years since I had dinner at LTT but we all enjoyed it. Smoked pork loin is really just a fancy way of saying ham - if you like ham you'll like it!!!

Haven't done Garden Grill, and we don't have kids, but the LTT lunch was one of the best meals on the whole trip. The pot roast is unbelievable. So is the chicken bacon pasta. Ooey Gooey Toffee desert is crazy good. We did see plenty of kids eating pizza and other kids meals, and they all seemed happy.

We have eaten at LTT and GG but I have never been to WDW with a child younger than 10. This trip I am traveling with a 5 and 6 yo so I have been checking out the children's menus because I got the DDP so I wanted to see what their menus would look like. They are very similar at each restaurant, there may be some change but the offerings are about the same for the kids.

LTT for dinner?
We ate dinner there when there were still characters in December. It was worth it then to me because of the characters. Now, it's not. We are going to try GG instead. There were no choices offered other than the regular meal, but we also did not ask. I'm not really a meat eater so mostly ate rolls, mac and cheese and salad. It was ok. We are going to try lunch there next time because I prefer having choices.

They are VERY similar. We liked LTT better between the two, but if you are expecting two completely different meals, they aren't. Spread them out if you can and you'll be fine.

We've had both and I have to say I LOVE the food at both! We've been doing mostly character meals with our little ones so we've been doing GG for a while, but if I could choose any meal for myself at WDW, I'd choose LTT dinner hands down. I just love their comfort food! It's a great meal!

I like both the GG and LTT. If I had to choose one over the other I would probably choose LTT for lunch.
