Sheraton Anaheim Hotel, Best Western Park Place, or Hojo?
When I was planning our trip, I was looking at the Fairfield, the price was right, plus I have a slight status with Marriott, which means I get an automatic upgrade in a room if it's available
Perfect. (We're going 3/17-3/21)So after reading around, I've found these three that I like. I'd like some input ![]() Sheraton Anaheim Hotel: $139/night, but cheaper with AAA (don't have it yet, but if we were to get it, it would save us more money than we'd be spending.) I think it's the nicest out of the three, but it's also out of walking distance. They have a dedicated shuttle that runs every 30 minutes though. We've used the bus service at WDW, I think we'd be able to handle this. Though I'm worried about Park closing. Best Western Park Place: $139/night, again cheaper with AAA. Same price as the Sheraton. Right across the street. But the rooms don't seem as nice. I think there's a definite trade off between location and rooms here...is it worth it? Hojo: $116/night, we'd break even on AAA, so we'd just stick with this price. Checked and the ent rate isn't available for our stay figures The room we'd have to book would be a highway room...not too keen on that.Advice? Any other hotels that you think would be just *perfect* and that I'm missing the boat on?

Sheraton Anaheim Hotel is definitely the fancier of the three.
I stayed there a few times because I love it, but it's so expensive! (For me at least, haha) The shuttle service is very reliable. I had the same questions and sent an e-mail. Here's what they said: "The first shuttle leaves 30min before the parks opens and the last shuttle is that will depart from the park back to the hotel would be an 1hour and 15min after the park closes. Between those hours, the shuttle will take our guest to the park every 30min and will pick them up from the park every 15 and 45 from the hour back to the hotel." And they do operate early for Magic Mornings. It's practically a 5 minute ride to-and-from the park. I absolutely loved the shuttle because I didn't have to bother with parking ![]() It's so clean and the lobby is so beautiful. The rooms are modern, pretty, clean. The beds are amazingly comfy too. (But I think Hojo's has the same brand? Maybe.) Enjoy your trip!

I;'ve stayed at Sheraton Anaheim, and used the bus. It's good, BUT --if you're trying to make that first bus in the a.m. and it's full--well, you're out of luck, you have to wait for the next one. Meanwhile the crowd is building at the park.... If you're one of those folks who don't care if you arrive at the park after park opening, you'll be fine. The hotel itself is very nice.

Apparently my boyfriend would rather stay within walking distance
![]() So I guess the Sheraton is out. Thanks for the opinions on it though, I appreciated them!! ![]() And with coming in from the East Coast, I can see us being very early risers, especially the first day or two...so it might be better to stay within walking distance...grumble grumble...

Don't forget that Hojo's has a Disboard discount!! The code is LNDB! It's 15% or something.

That brings Hojo below $100! ...and only $107 for 2 queens instead in a "garden" facing room...hmmmmm...how bad is the noise in a "highway" facing room?? I read the thread that's currently on the front page right now about Hojo and she mentioned that the highway noise was drowned out by the a/c. I'm concerned that since we're going in March, the a/c won't be on constantly to drown it out!

Woohoo! You're very welcome! We love Hojo!
We were in a garden pool facing room and although there was no freeway noise, we could hear the people in the pool (some loud kids). If you can, bring a white noise machine (I did because I have kids) and it drowns everything out if you don't have the AC on. Oh, or use the bathroom fan. ![]() ETA: Also, the "Garden" facing rooms have microwaves but the standard rooms don't. For us, it's worth paying a little extra for a microwave so we can make oatmeal for breakfast and a hot pocket for lunch LOL!

We really like Hojo's but I think if my choice was a highway room I'd opt for Sheraton Anaheim... we LOVE that place... the beds are incredible and the pool area is nice - the pool is actually deep, weird for a hotel, but they used to make them that way! The service there is always very good and the free shuttle is really nice and convenient. Service at Hojo's is always wonderful too. I don't know about all of the rooms because the last few times we've opted for the premium room... I know they have very nice beds now, but I don't know if that is the same for all of the other room types.

HoJo, deluxe queen/queen room in building 2 facing the pool is always our #1 choice.

Thanks. We went for the highway facing room. We figure we'll be too tired most nights to care.

We just got back from Sheraton Anaheim and we were anything but impressed. The rooms were spacious but it was very worn. dirty carpets, cracked and missing grout, didnt' feel very clean. The staff is so so and the shuttle drives can be rather mean.
One night we were leaving the park and were running to catch the bus. Teh driver saw my husband and my son and shut the door and left. He made eye contact with DH. We ended up taking a taxi back to the hotel and arriving the same time as the bus. We complained at the front desk, we never received an apology. At first the driver said he didn't see DH, (he said it was too dark - there is stadium type lighting where the buses are) then he said there wasn't room on the bus ( remember we arrived at the same time as the bus and only 15 people got off. There was plenty of room) I requested a call from management and never got one. Another time a woman on the bus had to run upstairs because she forgot something for a baby and the driver was mad because he had to wait. The family was actually made to disembark and wait for the next shuttle because the driver didn't' want to wait for the woman to come back down. I am taking my sons back in January and I will be staying anywhere but there. We stayed there on points so at least it didn't cost anything. Parking is 10.00 a day there. I was actually impressed with Red Lion Inn. We stayed there the first night since we arrived at 11PM. The staff there could be a little nicer but the rooms were great - just updated. Right across from the park. My only complaint was the parkign was 14.00 a day. I got it on Priceline for 45.00 a night.

Hojo's uses the ART now...I remember fondly the days when they had their own private shuttle... it was like a little trolly car...the kids loved it! Even the ART shuttle waited one time for someone who had to run back to their room for something important..and did not have an attitude about it either!
