First cruise in 8 days, last min. ?'s

Ok, so I am officially in freak-out mode, both in a good way and bad.

Afraid I am not going to remember something, or print out something wrong or not print it at all...

I have checked in online, and filled everything out. There are only our own children with us, no medical problems, so here is question 1....

1. What EXACTLY do I need to print out from the DCL site to bring with me. The entire contract, just the signature page, and anything else need to be printed/brought???

also some bahama questions....

2. Do we need to take our passports off the ship in Nassau or can we get off and on with our kttw cards and driver's lisc. (adults) and just kttw cards for the kids?

3. If we DO need (or decide to) take the passports in Nassau, is there anywhere to get them stamped in nassau and if so, where?

4. I collect dollar bills from different countries. Where is the best place to get a Bahamian dollar? Could I just ask a cashier in one of the shops to trade for an American dollar?

And finally some CC questions...

5. Will they stamp passports in CC and if so, where, at the post office?

6. The thought of trekking back to the ship in wet, sandy, suits starts the rash building already. Is there anywhere near the family beach to change into some dry shorts before heading back?

I am sure I read the answers to some of these here on the dis in the last year or so, but right now the ol' melon is running at 100 miles an hour and compared to our countless wdw trips, I feel woefully unprepared and somewhat "discombobulated" for our first cruise.

Thanks for any and all replies. No need for one person to try and answer them all.

The contract signature page and the credit card authorization.

also some bahama questions....

Your KTTW card (for everyone) and a photo ID (for adults) are all you need.

3. If we DO need (or decide to) take the passports in Nassau, is there anywhere to get them stamped in nassau and if so, where?

I've read conflicting reports on this one. Perhaps someone who was recently there will chime in.

4. I collect dollar bills from different countries. Where is the best place to get a Bahamian dollar? Could I just ask a cashier in one of the shops to trade for an American dollar?

Never tried it, but your idea will probably work.

And finally some CC questions...

Not that I'm aware of.

6. The thought of trekking back to the ship in wet, sandy, suits starts the rash building already. Is there anywhere near the family beach to change into some dry shorts before heading back?

There are restrooms near the family beach, with outdoor showers. We always just wash the sand off and head back to the ship.

Hope that helps. Now...... take a deeeep breath and relax.

You just need to print out the signature pages, both the contract signature page and the credit card signature page. This usually comes out to two or three pages. You do not need the contract.

also some bahama questions....

2. Do we need to take our passports off the ship in Nassau or can we get off and on with our kttw cards and driver's lisc. (adults) and just kttw cards for the kids?
You will just need your driver's license and kttw.
3. If we DO need (or decide to) take the passports in Nassau, is there anywhere to get them stamped in nassau and if so, where?
In the old days you could take them to Guest Services to have them stamped, but I do not know if they do this anymore with the new electronic customs procedures

4. I collect dollar bills from different countries. Where is the best place to get a Bahamian dollar? Could I just ask a cashier in one of the shops to trade for an American dollar?
Should be no problem to just trade an American dollar for a Bahamian Dollar, although some stores do not actually use Bahamian money at all.
And finally some CC questions...

5. Will they stamp passports in CC and if so, where, at the post office?
I may be wrong but I do not believe there will be any way to stamp your passports as you are not actually entering a country. Usually you get the passport stamped at the port of entry, which is Nassau
6. The thought of trekking back to the ship in wet, sandy, suits starts the rash building already. Is there anywhere near the family beach to change into some dry shorts before heading back?
There are several sets of bathrooms that you would be able to change in.

Passport Stamps

In Nassau there is a government office building right outside and to the left of the docks. Tell the guard at the gate you want your pp stamped and they will direct you to an office.

For Castaway Cay, drop your passports off at Guest Services the night before and they will try to get them stamped when the local immigration official comes on board. The stamp will be from "Abaco", the nearest big Bahamian island to CCay. Good luck...

When you get off the ship in Nassau, walk straight down the dock. When everybody goes to the right to go through the building, go straight. There is a guard posted there and he will ask what you want. Tell him that you want to get your passport stamped. He will direct you to the small building on your left. You will go in that building and take a right and go down the hallway to the last office on the right where you will get your passport stamped. Quick, easy and painless.

Thanks. The kids never had pp's before, so it would be nice if we could get them stamped from somewhere.

Ok, so, just to check for my own O.C.D. Mind's sake...

I printed them out. Got 5 pages. The first 3 require signatures, the last 2 are just the info and passport infro for the 4 of us. Printed 2 copies, i'll have 1 in my carry on with the other documents we need, and dw will have the second copy. Anything else we need from the DCL site or are we set?

Sounds exactly like what I got when I printed our forms yesterday, and what I've printed out the past couple of cruises. You should be "good to go". Just don't forget those passports!

Have a WONDERFUL cruise!
