Please Tell Me About Boma Breakfast Buffet

We are looking for a breakfast/brunch in a resort on a Sunday morning before going to MVMCP in November. We've never really been to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, so I thought it would be fun to have a meal there.

Can you give me any input about the breakfast in Boma? My kids are older and not too picky, especially when it comes to breakfast. Is there plenty of variety?

Thanks for any info.

Tons of variety, and nearly all of it is standard breakfast offerings. There are a few (slightly) unusual items - porridges, etc. - but I can't imagine even the pickiest eater having any problem there.

Great, thanks for the info. Everyone is pretty easy to please at breakfast, as long as there is plenty to choose from.

I just booked a breakfast ADR for Boma on our easy day at Disney. I think my teens will enjoy touring the AKL after breakfast. There were some good photos on one of the food porn threads.

We just booked Boma as well for breakfast for our December trip. I'm excited to try it.

Couldn't have said it better myself. It is a must-do for us when we go.

As for the variety, there are a couple of African dishes; hot cereals; pre-made waffles, pancakes, scrambled eggs, breakfast meats & potatoes; made-to-order eggs/omelettes; fresh fruits & pastries.

Last time we were there, there was a scrambled egg dish with goat cheese and chives that was heavenly.

The "frunch" - I think they call it jungle juice now - is a delicious fruit juice concoction guaranteed to wake you up. They also offer - for an upcharge - a wonderfully strong press-pot of coffee if you are into that.

The hotel is gorgeous, the breakfast delicious. You can't go wrong!

Boma has many great breakfast reviews. Actually, I think it's one of the highest non-character breakfast spots in Disney. The food is suppopsed to be really fresh and full of variety. My family keeps meaning to make it for breakfast/brunch one day, but there's so much to see/do in Disney. We also stayed concierge level the last time we stayed at AKL, and will this time as well, so it's hard for us to go out of our way to pay for breakfast when a continental (which is no comparison to Boma) breakfast is available as part of what we pay. I always am jealous when I pass by there and see people eating breakfast/brunch. Yum! Have fun and be sure to give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the resort- it's truly beautiful, and one of the most unique resorts I've stayed at in the world, let alone in WDW!

It is pretty darn sad when a valet picks you out as a big Boma eater

The juice was terrific, but I fell in love with the goat cheese and chive scrambled eggs and macadamia crusted banana muffins!!

Boma buffet is our favorite. Try the pressed pot coffee and the fruunch. The cream of wheat looking dish is very good and we love the bagels with different spreads. We're avoiding all buffets this year because we got so sick last year. (not from the buffets probably but we don't want two wasted trips in a row.)
