Travel Day

I woke up 10 minutes before my alarm and was so excited I literally bounced out of bed in the shower wash dressed hair dried straightened make up on packed last little bits all in 40 minutes :0 this would never happen on a work day lol Dave was ready before me and was just up checking every thing was ready our own little prince charming was already on his holiday at Dave’s dad



So all locked up and on our way lucky for us Dave works next to the airport on a golf course and they offer parking there and then drop you off at the airport and pick you up when you land and we get this for free this is why we always try to fly from Bristol Intl. So all checked in we are heading for security I should mention Dave’s t-shirt says I live with little miss bossy this is the first comments we get at security asking if that’s right that I’m bossy Dave nodded and the man said its best I got first then lol.

We had breakfast and saw our aeroplane land the waiting went so quick before we knew it were on board and in the air.



We had a choice of 40 films some were some disney classics and some newer ones with my sisters keeper I hate valentines day and ice age 2 we were told UP was on but it wasn’t. The Films and TV programs stopped working with in 2 hours not good but we played some games and read our magazines papers and books.

I don’t know it is the excitement or the kid in me but this flight felt like forever. We were landing in Newark first here it was 6 degrees and pouring with rain were glad we weren’t staying on here.

We landed at 1.30 and our connecting flight wasn’t till 6.15 so we planned to take it very slow but we were straight through security will laughs from the officer about Dave’s shirt our bag was the very first out. I said to Dave that I was going to ask if there was an earlier flight we had agreed with each other what we would pay to change flights so now its about 2.10 and the lady said she would put us on the 3 o’clock with no charge took our bag and we were off as we got to our gate it was the final boarding call we were so chuffed we asked.

We landed in Orlando Intl at 5.10 after collecting our bags and finding our first bit of Disney Magic Express we had to wait 40 minutes for our bus but SSR was the first stop so that was brilliant.

We checked in and was given room 7543 I asked for Congress park knowing it was closer to DTD she said the hotel was fully booked and there were no other rooms we walked to the room being sat down for so long stretching our legs was nice it took 25 minutes to walk there we weren’t very happy with our room as we paid more to stay at SSR for DTD. So we walked back and spoke to another lady who was the BEST Sophia she changed us to room 1112 she changed us with no problem we had bell hop take us back to collect our bags and then to our new room he was good fun and telling us all about the hotel.

If you look on the lights near the building you can see rain forest cafe

We did a quick stroll to DTD which took 4 minutes (I timed it lol) and had an earl sandwich oh my this was so yummy.

I had the BBQ chicken and Dave had the meatball we had a drink each we paid out of pocket for this


We didn’t stay out long we were back in the room I un packed and was asleep ready for the next day.

Well done getting an earlier flight. My SIL is flying Glasgow to Newark to Orlando in Feb. Will tell her to ask about an earlier flight if she has a big time gap.

No problem tell her to keep hold of her bags when she asks or they will be on the wrong flight I know its obvious but just I didnt think of it Dave did

Just shows you it doesn't hurt to ask, earlier flight and room change, well done. I love the thought of just being able to walk to DD and even more so the thought of going in EoS.
