Do you have a favorite view?

So I was just looking out the window next to me and realized it now my favorite view. I am in my computer room, which used to be my dining room, and the window looks out into the front yard. This is a window that would never have been noticed if this was still a dining room. So what makes it special? Just across the street is a group of condos and this particular little window looks out into the trees & grass behind them with a few cars. From this perspective it looks like a mini-park and all day every day I watch squirrels, bunnies and birds frolic through this window. Right now there are 2 ornamental trees in the foreground which have turned golden-red. It's so peaceful.

I was wondering, is there anyone else out there like me who takes the time to appreciate life's tiny little pleasures? If so what is it you see and from where?

I love the view out of my family room window facing the front of the house. I notice it if I'm lying on the couch. All I can see are evergreen trees. It's very soothing and green and looks like you're in the middle of the woods even though the street is right on the other side of the trees.

Our back window have a similar view since the sides of the yard are all evergreens, as well. I like to sit in the sunroom in the evening in the summertime and watch the fireflies begin to appear. It looks magical.

My favorite view is of Los Angeles from an airplane going away from Los Angeles.

Don't get me wrong, I like my hometown. But I love to travel more than anything.

I did love my view out of my window when I lived in the marina. We were on the water and there were two spots where you could sit and watch the boats coming in and out and in the background, you could see the waves crashing up on the beach next door.

I love the view from my breakfast table. I look out over the water and I see all kinds of interesting things. Early, I see the fishing boats going out. If I am lucky I see a manatee swim by. I just saw a ray jumping out of the water yesterday and I also love all the birds - pelicans, herons, wild parrots, etc.

I really try to gaze out every morning and appreciate it. I find that is when I have time - even though the view is wonderful from every room. It is why we bought the lot and built our home here.

I would be sitting on the patio of the Fontana bar at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas watching the dancing fountains on a warm balmy night whilst sipping vintage Champagne

My favourite indoor view is from sitting on the sofa in my garden room. From there I can see my pond, the fish, the water features in our garden, my pet rabbits hopping around on the grass and the statues and plants I have in my garden. My overall favourite view is when I am sitting on the swingseat in my back garden. From there I can see all of my garden and the field over the fence with all the trees, sitting there I can see no other buildings. I particularly like it on a Saturday when there are often weddings at the castle that is a few minutes from our house. They usually have fireworks going off which I can see over the top of the trees.

Loving all your different views!

Mine is watching the peaceful aqua blue wake with DH on the stern of any cruise ship!!!! Priceless!!!

At home it would be our sunroom DH built, as it is surrounded by windows. We enjoy having our coffee while watching all types of birds feed, and other wild life. We have a 4 acre forest that currently has all the shades of autumn incl. a huge holly loaded with berries. In the winter when it snows, it is truly winter wonderland! We play soft music and it's also peaceful place for praying.

Another fave view is like yours LO, our computer room, that once was a BRm. We had comp. in another BRm at first, but moved it to this room for better view, as I love my curtains open . We have a big window in between our his and hers computers that over see our front yard, several flowering trees and now our sugar maple tree in all it's glory, a USA flag blowing in the breeze, a half brick wall of ivy (flowers when in bloom) and our swing settee. Life is good!

I only have three windows in my apartment, and two face a parking lot. but the back window faces the backyard, which is pretty much just trees and grass. so that one is my favorite.

I love the view from the MCO airport shuttle that takes you from arrivals to baggage claim! I totally let go of all of my traveling stress and know that I am finally in FL and on the way to Disney!

My favorite view is from sitting at the kitchen table and seeing a very busy avenue out my back glass sliding door. I love the activity, people shopping, the city buses, even the noise, night and day. It's reassuring to me that life is happening, that people are still awake when I'm asleep, that the world doesn't ever stop. I know it sounds crazy, but that's my favorite view.

This isn't crazy at all. One my my favorite views is looking over Times Square from a high floor at the Marquis a few days before Christmas. Every time I get up during the night I peek out the window and think to myself just what you said. How cool it is to know that there is a world speeding by in a rush day and night, going who knows where to do who knows what. It's a different kind of beauty than the peaceful quiet, but its beautiful none-the-less.... no doubt about that.

When I lived closer to the city I used to look out my window and marvel at the little bits of life that refused to be shut out by the concrete. The squirrels in the tree surrounded by a mini fence, the pigeons with babies nesting in the high-rise rafters and the little bits of grass growing in between the cracks in the street and sometimes a tree was even stubborn enough to disrupt the smooth blocks in a sidewalk. Oh, and the thrill of finding a ladybug or inch-worm was unmatched because it was so rare

This time of year I like my kitchen window view the best. There is a lovely maple tree that is just gorgeous right now!

I have many favorites out west, but probably my most interesting and favorite urban view was from when I worked on the 15th floor of an office building. Another coworker and I shared an office, and we pushed our desks up to the window facing out and had a great view of the city cemetery!

My favorite natural view would be the view from our Montana mountain house. We are up about a mile, and have a perfect view of the Tobacco Root Mountains straight out our front windows, which take up the entire great room. There are prettier views out west, but this one is my favorite because it is ours.

I have a blown up photo of the view from our lake place hanging in the living room and dh will stop in front of it sometimes and pretend he's in the boat, calls the dog to jump in, makes motor noises, etc. It cracks me up every time.
