Online Hotel Room Sellers
At this late date,I was not able to get a Passholder rate for all dates of my trip(December 10-15).I have never used an online seller of Hotel rooms.but decided to check.Lastminutetravel had my dates at a price ALMOST IDENTICAL to the Passholder rate!I was so excited. Is this unusual to find a rate that good?

We booked an extra add on night to our upcoming package through expedia for the POR. We paid $100 less than Disney wanted for the same room. We have used online hotel sites many times (for other than Disney) and never have had a problem.

It is good to know that online sellers can sometimes have rooms even cheaper than Disney's price!

The only thing is they won't let you see what hotel you are booking. I keep getting "Undercover" with the star rating.

OH, such a long story - let me see if I can give the condensed version...
the site debuted with a contest that ran for about a week. Get a Disney hotel room for a buck a night, if you are online when they randomly open the booking window. Very quickly they realized too many of us knew about the contest and they'd lose too much money, so they did all kinds of crazy things to make sure almost nobody would ever get the window, even though they promised it would be open for a certain amount of time every day. There was a huge thread where we were all chatting while we were waiting for the window to open. I've never hit refresh so many times in my life... which at one point was thought to be a disqualifier.... ![]() Anyway, we found many errors on their site, along with a lot of questionable advertising/misleading pictures. I didn't follow up on how this ended up, but last I heard, I think everyone that did win ended up getting their room for the $1 price, but I think they had to pay taxes on it, so if they were lucky enough to get a deluxe, they were owing big taxes, which wasn't exactly disclosed to us at first! What a fiasco it was, but I had a great time chatting with other LMT losers (and a few winners, but not many!) while we played! We sure did give up a lot of sleep... housework.... hygiene.... ![]() uhh, I'm not saying who, but I know a few of us even gave up a day or so of work...

Oh, I forgot to add one more thing about that contest. Some people would be lucky enough to get the window, and then you were supposed to have a certain amount of time to enter your info - but it would time them out way too early, so their chance at a Buckroom (as we called it) would be gone forever.

This is the first time I have ever checked online sites,so I don't know how often such a good deal as the one I got is available.I suspect it is the exception rather than the rule. For 3 nights of my trip Disney had NO rooms at any price available at my Resort at all.lastminutetravel really gave me the nights I wanted at the price I wanted!
