Tiana's Showboat Jubilee - Saw Sneak Peak on Sunday!

We were at MK on Sunday for my birthday, and caught a sneak peak of the new Tiana's Showboat Jubilee show! We liked the first one so much, we stuck around to see the second one! Different cast at each show, according to a lady near me, whose daughter was one of the performers. This was the first time the show had been performed in daylight; she said her daughter had been at practice every night for about 10 hours a night for the last 10 days!

Here are some of the best shots, and 44 other photos I took:

Very cool...the movie releases wide December 11th...we leave for our trip December 12th...I would like to see the movie first, but it might not be possible. (I am NOT spending time at WDW at the movies.) But either way, I think it will be neat to see the show / movie and how they work together.

Some more info - the show will run three times per day, according to the times guide I picked up yesterday for this coming week. 12:15pm, 2pm, and 3:45pm. The show starts with the whole colorful procession coming through Frontierland and Liberty Square to board the Liberty Belle. The Liberty Belle then leaves dock and comes down to its one show stop, which is located near a small dock directly in front of the Prairie Outpost & Supply store (the shop has a red facade). Everything happens on the boat - no one gets off. The show stop lasts about 10 minutes, then the Liberty Belle starts up to make its loop around the Rivers of America. When the boat docks, the whole crew parades back through Liberty Square and Frontierland and ends at Diamond Horseshoe. (Since what I saw was essentially a dress rehearsal, I don't know if this will be the norm, or was something special!)

There are about 20-30 pre-selected guests on the lower level of the boat, and they get to wave handkerchiefs, musical notes, and put on colorful gospel robes and wave tambourines at different parts of the show. The second level is various cast, and this is where Lewis the Alligator comes for his solo. The top level is more cast and Tiana and Naveen. Be on the lookout for Dr. Facillier, who also makes a surprise appearance and his own solo.

My thoughts -- LOVED IT! It was colorful, high energy, the music actually had me tapping my feet, and I wish the movie was open because I really want to go see it now! I think this will be a great addition to MK, and is a fun show. My new mission in life is to figure out how to get chosen to be on the boat -- a CM told me that all 4 characters (Tiana, Naveen, Lewis, and Dr. Facillier) are doing a meet 'n greet on the boat for those selected! I'm a character autograph hound, so that's right up my ally!

Question iwynlea: Where did you stand to take your pictures?

I know I won't be one of the chosen ones; so, I would really like to take some pictures and video.

Your pictures were great; would you share where you took them from? TIA

I know when a new movie comes out Disney will sometimes have those characters doing meet and greets...We will be there over Thanksgiving, think there is any chance on us getting to meet them? My daughter is already so excited about this new princess. We are going to see the movie 4 days before we leave to familiarize our kids with the characters so it would be great if they got to meet them too Thanks
