YES! My DS14 found a friend to go with us BUT........

I'm so glad my DS14 found a friend to go to WDW with us. Now I can have some alone time exploring. But we leave in 52 days, I wonder how hard it will be to add 1 more to all of our Adrs. We have Adrs for 6 people. Do you think that will be an issue? we have Adrs for the following:

Dec 17th Teppan Edo 5:40
Dec 18th Tutto 6:45
Dec 19th Captains Grill 5:55
Dec 20th 1900 Park Fare 9:20am & Whispering Canyon 7:45
Dec 21st Le Cellier 5:35
Dec 22nd Marrakesh 5:00

I'm calling first thing in the morning!

AND because I will have some alone time, do you have any tour suggestions or something that is fun to do without kids??

Thanks!!!!

You could play around now with the online system. I don't think you will be able to change Le Cellier but the rest I have no idea.

Well, since searching for online dining reservations is a hobby of mine, I popped over there. It looks like LeCellier is a no-go (so far), but the couple others I put in had availability. Why not work on it online tonight so you can get a good night's sleep?

And if you can't re-book LeCellier, I wonder if you could make them a reservation of their own somewhere? I don't know how old you have to be to dine at a Disney restaurant without an adult, but they might enjoy this if you trust them to be good AND if it's allowed.

Best of luck, I know from experience how frustrating it is to make those precious ADRs right on your day, only to have to un-do/re-do them when others decide to join you!

Thank you!! That is a great idea! Maybe I can find them a buffet, I don't like them. And two 14years old boys can sure eat a lot. I'll have to ask tomorrow. If not I might just try to show up to LeCellier with all of us. I hate doing that tho. Thanks again!!

It is slightly easier to add someone to an odd numbered party to make it even compared with adding someone to an even numbered party.

There is no guarantee in either case even when showing up anyway.

Meanwhile if the two teens are willing to split off, the restaurant should still seat the rest of you (5) if it doesn't want to seat all of you (7).

I'd show up for my ressie and try it. What's the worst that will happen? They'll say no! Then stop in a a few places around the WS and see if they have space or eat at CS that night. Better yet, make it an 'eat around the world' night and have some nibbles from several different CS. We did that once and it was great fun!

LOL eating around the world is the only way I can get my DS14 to go to the showcases. But not this year I get to go alone! But you're right. If I can't find them a place they can go to dinner on their own, we will just try and go. I was thinking it would be fun to get them (two 14 year old boys) an adr to Norway to see the princess.

Last time I went with all 3 girls they were 14 and they did not like much at Epcot so after we did the biggies together (test Track, Mission etc.) they went to a water park and I spent the rest of the day exploring all of Future world, Innoventions, living the land etc and the WS... I had a great time and so did they...I love the bus system..it makes it so easy for the kids to get around....

I agree with PP's...all ADR's except Le Cellier should be fine and the boys may not like Le Cellier that much anyway....my girls at that age loved to eat but did not like drawn out meals ..after 45 minutes they would get restless....

Have a great time!

Going out to eat is my DS14 favorite thing to do at Disney World. He LOVES to eat....AND loves the food. His favorite is Tutto's. We are eating there at his request. Here my DS14 at tutto's last year

I'll let you know what happens. I haven't call yet because I'm waiting to get the extra $300 to pay for this kids ticket. We brought his plane ticket last night. But the 45 days is just around the corner, so I need to have the cash when I call. And I'm still trying to figure out where they can have dinner on their own. My DS14 likes the idea. I would cancel Le Cellier (I have eaten there before, it was ok) but they have a great kids menu. We are traveling with a friend and her 3 kids. One loves streak! I found looking at menus that a lot of places don't have great menus for kids. So all the places I picked I made sure they had some options. All but Captains Grill, that's my pick. They have crab!!

Thanks for all the replies. If you have any good suggestions for two teenage boy in Epcot for a TS meal please let me know!

With the ADR's a lot depends on what kind of table they have you down for. For instance, when you call into dining, availability shows so many 4-6 persons tables 6-8 person tables, etc. and it varies at each restaurant (some have different table sizes or different guidelines about seating.) For all you know your Le Cellier reservation might be at an 8 top table (I can't remember Le Cellier's configuration though). Just call in and see what can be done. If you reservation is already on a table that accomodates 6-8 people it will be no problem adding one.

However, after you've called in, if it doesn't work out for every ADR then just walk up and try anyway. The worst they can do is say is no. However, I would have a back up plan so there aren't any hurt feelings if you get to a restaurant that says no.

Good luck!

Called WDW - IT"S DID NOT GO WELL!!!

I couldn't change the following:

Dec 17th Teppan Edo 5:40
Dec 18th Tutto 6:45
Dec 21st Le Cellier 5:35
Dec 22nd Marrakesh 5:00

I still have the ones I couldn't change. I'll have to keep calling. They had opening for most of them but they were for the candlelight processional Packages. I was on the phone for hour and a half! I forgot to ask about teens eating alone. On the good note I was able to keep Whispering Canyon & Captains Grill.
