Hoop Dee Doo too corny for 12 yr old?

DS12 isn't sure he'll enjoy HDD - is it more for younger kids? Looks like a blast to me!

Without a doubt, NO!! He will love it!! Food is Fried Chicken, Ribs, just good tasty food, and the entertainment is absolutely hilarious, for any age. It is corny, of course, that's what a vaude-ville, western, opera musical is supposed to be.

My 14 yr old nephew, talks about it all the time when he went when he was 13. And this kid a 6' 14 yr old, that throws 71mph fastballs, and is a total he-man (at least in his mind) He asked me yesterday if we were doing HDD, when we were talking about our upcoming trip. Your DS will have a great time, without a doubt!

We were there in August and my kids and the other family we were with loved it. One of the perfomers came out of the audience and sat on my buddy's lap and then continued to pick on him through out the evening (I think it might have been becasue I was video taping the show). We were all dying laughing.

Nope

Not too corny. Just took my 12 YO and she actually "got" some of the adult humor!! But, my little ones loved it there too. Although it was the only place that they were cold in

Enjoy!!

I took my youngest DS to HDDR when he was 14. He loved it!

I told him we were going again during our trip in December. I think he was more excited about HDDR than the rest of the trip - and he just turned 16

Actually, I think it is better for an older child than for the little kids. All mine loved it, and they were young teens. It is so worth it. I would do the early dinner, though (5;00??) Mine would have been falling asleep at the 7:00 dinner. Or forget the 9;00!

It all depends on his mood. If he is tired and cranky he will hate it. I think pretty much any dinner show is a matter of mood and attitude.

Our DS is 22 and loves HDDR. Yes, it is corny and silly but that is exactly what it supposed to be. Our family really enjoys the food and we love the interaction of the show. It is tradition for our first night (this will be the 6th time) and when I suggested that we skip it this time my family had a cow! Have a great time!

Hoop Dee Doo is for all ages IMHO! My kids loved it when they were very young, and are teens and still love it! It is a fun show and the food is great!
