Got a room through Hotels.com when Disney site says no availability. NERVOUS!

I have been trying to find a value room for Dec 11-13 for two months now with no luck. No availabilty value, mod, even deluxe is limited.

I was directed to check hotels.com on another thread, so I did. They have plenty of rooms! POP perferred room for $74. So I jumped and booked it right away.

I got a confirmation that my room is booked. NOW, I am reading horror stories about people showing up at check in with their hotels.com confirmation in hand, and no room waiting for them.

Please, have you had this experience where you couldn't get a room through disney, but booked through hotels.com or expedia? How was your experience?

It is quite common for hotels and resorts to offer travel agents a certain quota of bookings. Airlines work the same way. That is why you sometimes seem to find nothing at one place and someone else has loads available. Get your reference number and call Disney if it makes you feel any better. Just keep a hold of your confirmation and make sure you have it when you check in.

Regarding horror stories, there is at least one for everything, so don't panic. I am sure someone else will jump onto this thread and give you some positive personal experience to make you feel better.
