WL/GF bus question

We are staying at WL but have dinner reservations two nights at GF, since they share a bus is there a way we'd be able to hop on our WL bus and get off at GL or do we have to do what we normally have done and get off at DTD and switch buses?

If it were me, I'd take the boat to CR and grab Monorail to GF.

You might be able to, but I'm not 100% sure. I know when we stayed at GF last year, on the way back from DTD on night, we stopped at WL to pick up people to go back to DTD. I'm just not sure it was at the actual lodge or the camp ground since I think most people that got on had been to the HDR that night.

The only thing is the bus was very crowded and not everyone that wanted to get on was able to. Just something to keep in mind. If you dinner plans are early enough, you may want to take a bus to MK or EP and then take the monarail over to GF.

Belle,

When we were there in Dec 2007 the DTD bus from WL always stopped at GF. Not sure if it still does that. But as a fall back the boat to CR and grab Monorail to GF is one option or a bus to MK (short trip less than 5 minutes) and then Monorail/bus to GF.

I would highly recommend this suggestion. Do not even bother with buses. catch the boat over to the CR and then catch the monorail to the GF. Just make sure to allow time for this because, the monorail will first stop at the TTC and then the POLY after leaving the CR. (combined after leaving the CR around 15 minutes tops)

OR take the boat to the MK and then take the water launch (1st stop is GF) or monorail to the GF. I believe the boats to the MK are more frequent then the one to the CR.

In May we stayed at WL and went to 1900 Park Fare at GF for dinner. We took the boat from WL to MK and then the boat from MK to GF. We got there much quicker than I thought we would. It was really fast and the boat rides were fun.

We just stayed at WL last weekend for MNSSHP. Take the bus to Downtown Disney...it stops at GF first! It only took a few minutes to get there..okay maybe 5-10 minutes, but it didn't seem long at all!! Have fun!

Buses

If you are doing anything "creative" with the bus routes, be absolutely sure to speak with the bus driver before boarding to verify your assumptions. A quick question asking if he is stopping at the GF will be well worth the effort, because they do not always follow the normal plan.

I agree with the boat option. I'd get on either the MK or CR boat, whichever comes first. From CR, you can hop on the monorail. and from MK, you'll have another boat or monorail. You COULD take a bus, but there did not seem to be a whole lot of consistency as to when WL shared with GF, or which hotel was picked up first.

If the Wilderness Lodge ever shares the same bus route with the Grand Floridian it would be during the morning only.
