Help with ordering groceries

I want to order some stuff to the resort. How do I do that? I will be staying at Fort Wilderness Cabins.

Also, is there a time frame for ordering from Costco? We really wanted to get cases of water to our room. LOL

If it's only about a week until your trip and you're arriving on a weekend, it's possible Garden Grocer might already be sold out. But you should certainly try.

There are 3 local options for grocery delivery. Garden Grocer and WeGoShop are stand-alone delivery services. Goodings is a local supermarket that offers a delivery option.

We have used GG and Goodings and been pleased with both. We got our water from them, so I don't know about Costco.

We are going to give Wegoshop a try this next trip - The shopper is Marge and she gets good reviews from the DVC posters...

I just have to decide about the grocery list!!

Sorry one more question...

If you are ordering a case of water to be delivered can you also order dry goods from costco or amazon that would be delivered?

Costco is no longer a good option. They are randomly cancelling orders saying that they don't deliver to hotels.

Since I have never done this before, please forgive me if these questions have been asked......

I was planning on ordering water from Costco but I see that is no longer an option. If I order from garden grocer, how far in advance do I place the order? Also, what information do they need, obivously my hotel and address do I put my name or reservation #?

Thanks

The website will spell out all the info they need from you. They make it as easy as possible, and they do it for a living so they know exactly what info they need in order to get your groceries to you safe and sound ... just let the website be your guide.

Place the order as soon as you are sure of your delivery date and what items you will want. I say this because they can "sell out" for any given day. This happened to me on a past trip. I e-mailed the owner after I read on this board that my delivery date was sold out. I sent the e-mail because I wanted to make sure it wasn't a malicious rumor from a competitor. He called me by phone and confirmed that he was unable to accept my business for my chosen delivery date because he already had the maximum number of orders for that day. He said he didn't want to try to take my order because it would exceed their capacity and he wanted to make sure that the QUALITY of his service didn't suffer.

Gotta love a business that puts customer service over quick profits!

Another advantage is that wegoshop will shop where you want them to. We live in Ohio now and miss Publix. I can get my Chicago Italian Bread and Boar's Head low sodium turkey fixes on vacation!
