Need some help with our room request

We are ready to fax our room request for our upcoming stay at Kidani. We booked a one bedroom with a standard view and have two little ones (6 + 4).

We are driving down from Wallyworld Ct. And plan on using our "bus" (Ford Excursion) as often as we can (as we are rope droppers).

We are looking for the best of both worlds, secluded yet convenient. Does such a magical room exist?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

For DVC reservations, I think you can just put your room request in through MS.

It might not be true, but I read on the boards a while back that the resorts will no longer accept faxes for room requests.

Good luck and have a great trip!

Since you're using your "bus" for transit, I would request "near an elevator to the parking garage." I, personally don't think it matters what floor you're on. And unless you're going into the lobby a lot for other reasons, it wouldn't matter if you're near the lobby. You could request Sunset Savanna, which puts you facing the "inside" or the Pembe Savanna, which is only on the North end of the building, facing the "outside."

As far as secluded goes, I wouldn't even mention the lobby. We were in the 3rd bead/section on the North end, Sunset Savanna. It was a short walk to the garage elevator. We rarely went to the lobby...no need, since we were driving most of the time. We did feel a little "secluded" and liked that feeling. (I don't have a need to be in the middle of the hustle/bustle of the lobby.)

Enjoy your vacation! We LOVED Kidani! It was VERY relaxing.

The DVC resorts do not use faxes to assign rooms. In fact, they have asked us NOT to fax.

Call MS and be sure your requests are noted on your reservation. Then repeat the request at check in. (I know you'll be polite and already understand that requests are just requests and never guaranteed).

Some time ago, MS specifically requested that we do not fax requests to the DVC resorts. Any requests should be noted on your reservation.

We are also heading to Kidani for the first time and have a standard view. Can I request any type of "animal or savannah" view? I don't mean an upgrade, but just the best you can get in the standard view category.

Standard view is pool and parking lot. Savanna is animal view. You won't get animal/savanna with a standard view. You need to reserve savanna view for animals. You can see animals from outside the resort, but probably not from your villa.

Yellowstone was amazing and is a lot more inviting than Disney right now. Could we be selling it all in the near future? Maybe.

Savanna or animal view is not possible from a standard view room at Kidani. That is what "standard view" is....no animals.
