I've never eaten at Kona but we did eat at Grand Floridian Cafe in August. The food was really good and service was exceptional. We ordered the dessert sampler plate and everything was simply delicious!

We ate at Kona Cafe for the first time this year, and really enjoyed our meal. The dessert selection was huge and I had a hard time choosing. We are definately planning a meal on our next trip at Kona Cafe

Def GFC! We had the most incredible meal there, the NY Strip was great, the shrimp pasta was awesome but the dessert platter with the 4 mini desserts for $13 was to die for! There was a cheesecake, tiramisu, key lime tart and I think a chocolate cake

I enjoy the food at both and service is normally excellent at both as well. The menus are so different. Kona Cafe is usually louder thanks to the commotion of folks waiting to be seated at 'Ohana. On the other hand, you can watch the monorail swish by from your table.

Can you get the mini dessert platter on the DDP?

We love both! The food at each is great and service is wonderful. Actually, we have Kona Cafe booked for the first night of this upcoming trip. I chose it based on the fact that we ate at GFC twice on our last trip.

As far as the sampler, they let us order it but we were only able to order one with to share. Its well worth it, a little for everyone and so pretty!!

I would go for GFC, just because we haven't had much experience with Kona at dinner, and it wasn't great when we did. Although, based on reviews we've read on here, that was an odd occurance. Kona is great for breakfast!

GFC for dessert has EXCELLENT fondue!! It's to die for. So that gets my vote.

I agree, I loved both as well. Too hard to choose between the two of them. Just close your eyes and pick one, you can't go wrong.

GFC is becoming a new favorite for us. Kona isn't shabby at all either.
